Last Saturday, one of my favorite new MCs, Kid Cudi, went crazy on some poor girl's phone and doors and got himself charged with a felony: http://www.hiphoplead.com/news/kid-cudi-bursted-for-drug-possession/ Apparently, he was in possession of something referred to as liquid cocaine. What the heck is that? Is this some sort of new money-generating scheme for TL or something?
Triple edit for horrible grammar and spelling -_-;
Ha, I just saw this guy at Sasquatch. He brought this kid on stage that he'd punched in the face at some other show. Liquid cocaine sounds choice, I wouldn't mind busting up some phones and doors.
I would assume that it is melted cocaine? Sounds right, I don't see why people are surprised that he does drugs... He pretty much admitted it in songs.

Pretty much all of his songs are about being drunk and/or high.
yea.. its normally a drink.. i suppose actual cocaine could become a liquid, which wuold be then used to inject into urself w/ a syringe, like heroin or even cocaine.. some ppl use coke like that.. but only the true addicted, hard-up mofo's.. normal users just snort the shit..
duno if its a new drug or if its cocaine or just the alcoholic drink.. but any of those could prolly net u a felony charge, plus disturbing the peace, public endangerment.. like 20 different charges from 1 event.. so ya, he'll be away for awhile.. maybe.. he can prolly post the bail of like 500,000$ and get out until court or something.
u just aint a cool rapper until u go to jail it seems.. lil wayne.. T.I. those are the only 2 i know of, but lord knows how many dozen of otehrs have been there alrdy..
edit: o ya, didnt c-murder go to jail for like "choppin" a guy down in a club? (shooting him w/ an AK-47) i guess he hasnt heard of the idea of subtleness

It's like rum, jaegermeister and something else. Is it really a surprise if Kid Cudi is caught with alcohol while driving? He wrote a song about it.
Did you read the article? They called it a drug/controlled substance and there was no driving mentioned.
alcohol is a controlled substance.. e: well depends on def'n actually.. hmm i wonder what the official stance is edit: nevermind there's a specific exemption for it, alongside tobacco as well, so i guess not. liquid coke is still a drink though

No, that's just vodka redbull.

Lol? Man on the Moon was a great album. If you like all of Murs's stuff, I don't see how you didn't like it, unless you only listened to the singles. It's like an introspective emo rap album with great production, and not covered up with auto-tune.
He's a breath of fresh air into a genre that really needs it. Sorry to see him in trouble.
And yes, A Kid Named Cudi was probably one of the sickest mixtapes of any rapper. I thoroughly enjoyed every song on it, which is pretty much fucking amazing considering I've never said that about any album ever.

how did you know? D:
No but seriously kid cudi doesn't impress me.
also please refrain from saying emo rap, it is a poor descriptor of Murs or basically anything, really.

EDIT: I gave another listen to a different album, and changed my mind, thus deciding that Murs is okay, and not terrible as I initially stated.

You listened to Murs for President first didn't you? :x
Anyway, this thread isn't about Murs, so I'll leave.

The only Kid Cudi song I've heard is Day and Night, but every time I hear it I enjoy it Based on your recommendation I am certainly not going to download the discography
I fucking love kid cudis music. Saw him live and it was fucking awesome (besides the 2.5 hours of shitty openers lol) Definitely recommend him to anyone who likes hip hop, stuff like lupe fiasco.
hey guys remember that time cudi got arrested because of his nikes?
I get the feeling that the scene in how to make it where he says "yo my life is crazy" in response to getting called out drinking a bottle of wine is actually who he is.

I heard it was a good show. I was tempted to go, but wasn't as in to him as much yet, also that would've required moneys and a vehicle.
Kid Cudi is really really good. I hope this doesn't set his career back too far because unlike lil wayne he actually has this thing called talent. His first album is amazing - every single song on it is great.
He was arrested for possession of Totally Awesome Sweet Alabama Liquid Snake. But seriously, I laughed at the article that said something like 'in a burst of unrestrained rage or shoddy door building' because Cudi doesn't look like he could take down a screen door.
Liquid cocaine is just a mix of 2 very potent alcoholic drinks... like vodka + absinth or whiskey or w/e.
EDIT: In this site (http://bossip.com/256722/kid-cudi-popped-for-possession-of-liquid-cocaine-or-pcp-got-drugs/) it says liquid cocaine or PCP. The description matches PCP:
Sources say Kid took a 24-year-old woman’s phone and slammed it to smithereens. He also allegedly broke the door of her apartment off its hinges. Cops arrived and found a glass bottle of a controlled substance.
PCP is known for being responsible of violent behaviour and it's a psychedelic... if the cops found a bottle it's likely PCP, there's no such thing as liquid coke.
wow he is doing PCP.. lol. That's a little messed up. Loved his music though since I heard him from his first mixtape. Obviously he'll bounce back from this, but I'd rather have him stick to weed and booze instead of angel dust.
might have to change my username from CuDi to something not associated with PCP lol

Liquid Coke actually is a PCP substance (crack-ish).
Liquid Coke the drink is something like 151, Jager, and Goldschlagger... all three together give you a crazy combination which would be close to the equivalent of a coke line. If you've ever had any one of those liquors alone you already know each can mess you up pretty quickly... imagine all three at once . The idea is that the odor is enough to burn your nostrils, another obvious coke reference.

The substance that Cudi was found with could not have been an alcoholic beverage. He wouldn't have been hit with charges of a controlled substance if it were. And also keep in mind that cocaine itself is soluble in water (1800mg/ml @ room temp), so most likely the stuff in the glass bottle is just cocaine in solution. Haven't you guys ever heard of people shooting coke before?
Chuiu reads thread title and wonders "who is Kid Cudi?". He performs 1 second google search to learn the 'kid' is a rapper. He now wonders why there is a thread about this. Do people also make threads about baseball players who use steroids or politicians who are caught lying?

He's an entertainer (a good one in my opinion) and many people have an interest in circumstances he falls into that would stop him from continuing that line of work.
I'm thinking it wasn't really any sort of liquid cocaine. Liquid or water is cocaine's mortal enemy and deteriorates the substance. Liquid acid on the other hand, could be as clear as water. Same as liquid ketamine (which is much harder to find these days). I could only conclude it could be acid. I mean cocaine obviously can be turned solid as rock, but I've never heard of anyone taking liquid cocaine, for the very reason of my opening sentence....it has no potency once moist.
For cops thinking they are so smart, they really need to do some research :D

heh coke and water are mortal enemies dude. The last thing you want to do is get water on your coke... This is why if you bring it to a club you don't use notebook paper you try to have a little shooter or if you must use a magazine page.
When this happens the only way to save it is to microwave the water out, but by doing this you risk changing the coke substance to crack.
Water and coke ARE NOT "mortal enemies". Dissolving coke in water has no effect on the potency or purity of the cocaine, other than eliminating non water-soluble cuts that may be present.
I can't help but get a surge of glee over this. Don't go breaking down doors in a drunken haze, Mr. Cudi, tsk tsk.

Since when was I talking about getting water on coke? I was merely pointing out that the liquid substance that Cudi was found with could have just straight up been coke in solution.
And ultimately I'd have to disagree with the idea of water being the mortal enemy of coke. Say you did manage to get water onto your cocaine, this does not render it useless. I'd say go the extra mile and just dissolve all of it in water then use a nasal spray to take it (easier absorption into the nasal cavity as well as being a little less harmful to your nose since its diluted.)
And also, since when does microwaving coke turn it into crack? crack = cocaine + baking soda + heat.
read the crack wikipedia page, it's explained there.
