so my name is Tom, and when i play a game my character is always called tom, then if i play it on a harder difficulty it becomes tom2 etc. but when i played halo i wanted to do it on legendary so i types in tom the legend (I wanted tom the legendry but it wouldnt fit). my freinds saw the name when we used to lan and i used it from that point on.

My nick when i started playing very early Counterstrike Beta was knolle wich is a different word for potato in german. To announce our pratice times in the irc we shorted the player names to 3 Letter words. knolle -> knL - ten years later its still knL

Gaius Julius Caesar Germanicus - aka Caligula. He was a little bit crazy. Caligua means "little boot" and was given to him since he used to dress up in a miniature solder uniform, right down to the boots and armor, when accompaning his father in Germania.

I watched Red vs Blue, the Halo parody way back in the day and started using the name Crunchbite (a character in the series). I used that for years and during Brood War, but when I got my PS3, the name was taken, so I used Krunchmuffin (gay name), then I made another account called Krunchbyte for less epic gayness. Then when making my TL ID, I wanted to be semi-original, saw my iPod on my desk and named myself iByte.

My dad bought our xbox when i was about 4, and his xbl tag was jimandjim. it was cheaper for me to use his account than to buy my own, so i used his, and over time i have stolen it. on sites that require a unique name (i.e., email) we end up racing to see who gets stuck with jimandjim1. pretty funny.

The original name is an inside joke of my dads. He is a deadhead, and he and his group of stoner friends could never remember eachothers names when they were high, so they just all called eachother jim cause it was easy. hence "oh, me and jim and jim are gonna..." that is where my name came from.

I am Executor Selendis commanding the fleet of the Dalaraam Protoss under Heirarch Artanis.

So there is a couple of reasons why I chose Selendis as my ID. Firstly I wanted a legendary protoss who i knew wouldn't be taken. I definitely knew Artanis and Tassadar would be taken.

But I also have a deep respect for Selendis the character. There is the implication that protoss are misogynistic or at least there aren't many female protoss who make it up the ranks of the templar and judicator caste. So her rise up the ranks can't have been easy.

I also think she is a better general than Artanis. The reason being is that I felt the finale of the protoss brood war campaign (where you play as Selendis) was a lot harder than the finale of the original (where you play as Artanis).

Clearly, Sel has had to win tougher battles than Artanis.

The name I'm currently using on iCCup is MyInnerFlash.

When I decided to get back into playing BW last iCCup season, I wanted to first shake off my rust after not having played for a long while. A natural solution was creating a smurf nick. At the time I was coming up with my new name iCCup was down for maintenance and was playing that awesome song about an amazing horse - it got me totally pumped!!

So I decided to go for something cocky/confident. Since Flash was really hyped during that time and I'm his fan, I decided to call myself MyInnerFlash, to give myself more confidence. ^_____^

Originally I was "ThisMansLovin" because when I played Halo whenever I killed or was killed it made a fun little sentence ie. "ThisMansLovin splattered Payer1", "Player1 killed ThisMansLovin", etc.

After the release of "Super Bad," I had to compete with every other screen name being a variant of McLovin. I didn't care for the association. So in an effort to be an individual or feel special, I spit out my current SN.

I think the intentional misspelling gave it a nice depth and character.

became pretty well known in wow community, so made it my sc ID too. I quit wow since then so I kinda wish I could change my id since I don't really want to be associated with wow anymore, but at least i've come across some old friends while laddering

Savio: My first D&D character I ever made. To find the name I searched a Latin dictionary and saw it meaning "wise". Similar to "sabio" which is Spanish for wise, but it is the Latin version.

I have been hooked on Savio ever since and have used no other ID on the internet and I never will. My close friends in real life and some family members often call me Savio rather than my given name and I respond to it.

There was a band named "Amen" which was my first ever concert I went to, I was about 14-15 and my favorite song was "Refuse Amen" so I took that name. Although some games (UT99 primarily) the name Refuse Amen with a clan tag infront was too long and looked ugly so I changed it to Refused. From there, people kept calling me Ref and the same stuck. So now, when available, I just go by the name REF

Phyrexia is a universe in Magic: the Gathering. It's also called "Nine Hells" or "final hell for artifacts". It is actually based on Dante's Inferno. I loved playing MtG when I was a teenager and when in 1998 Baldur's Gate came out and I needed a name for my character it was MtG where I started looking for inspiration. After literally days of research, which is kinda crazy if I think about it now (who would sit for days not playing the game but looking for a perfect name for his character?), I decided that female mage named Phyrexia would be the best choice. Since then, all my characters in video games had that name. More than a decade later I started playing World of Warcraft and my first character, night elf hunter, was also named Phyrexia. Once I reached level 60 I decided to make an alt. Human male mage.. so how do I call him? I simply dropped an "a" from Phyrexia, and Phyrexi was born
