unfortunately my bnet ID, Sajuuk, was taken here at TL. sajuuk is the name of the ship from the homeworld series of games. it blows up planets. yeaaaah.

My friend's watch has a picture of an animated character, so I asked him what it was, but i misheard it was Corto Montez when it was Corto Maltese.

I later learnt that Corto Montez was also a historical figure.

Minzy from 2NE1, i like 2NE1, and i like her, i thought the name sounds cool, and i just went with that. No deep philosophical story from me.

My other ID that i used to use(and still do on Garena) is BlackXII, taken from RedXIII(Final Fantasy 7), yea, another final fantasy 7 inspired name, shoot me already. Thats kinda why i decided to move on to Minzy.

When I can, I'll be using Air, but I just got used to Aar so I chose that as my name on battle.net.

When I don't want something tied to my "identity," I choose random Korean words. I don't use Korean words as names seriously because I personally think it looks really ugly romanized.

I was Piaosia (like saying damn in a certain Chinese dialect) when I was a lot younger, changed it to Biaosia for no apparent reason when I played WoW, became S_Lj_Sano`o (Susano`o from Naruto) when I started playing HoN. People called me sano in chat, so it just became Sano. A few months later, I decided to combine my new ID with the old one, so
Biaosia + Sano = Sano__Bia => SanBia.

S3nsenmann or Sensenmann without the 3 translates in Grim Reaper in English, I always had a favour for this guy, and my favourite Model in Q3 was Uriel, so the name was quickly born. Being the leet guy I am, I changed the first e into a 3.

in the book Hood there is a little story where this guy has to kill some orcs, and he invades their castle and is caught. before the king orc was going to kill him, he asked for his name, and he said "Call me Silidons, for such I am" - which it said in the book that it meant "no one". Of course the king orc failed and lulz were had.

SilkD is actually a shortened version of my old/original name - Silk Degrees

This was a Boz Scaggs album which I loved at the time, and also like how the two words flowed together, so there you have it.

I thought I had told this story before on tl but I haven't posted it in this thread apparently.

In high school some of my friends played a lot of halo and wanted me to play with them, I didn't really want to but since they needed a 4th person I figured what the hell. They all made their characters with either black or green armor, to be somewhat camouflaged, and chose names like "Nighthawk" or "Killbear", you know, 'hardcore' names. Well I decided I was going to be different so I made a character with screaming yellow armor and chose the least frightening name I could come up with off of the top of my head, Lemonwalrus.

Even though it started out as a joke I kind of fell in love with the name and when I started playing broodwar on battle.net it was the name I chose.

In most games I use 2 other names however. One is Kwanroll...which should be self explanatory. The other is Coeurl, which is a creature from my favorite book. (a space panther with psychic abilities...seriously.)

I was making a Diablo 2 char and could not figure out a name for my sorc. I blindly pressed to keyboard with my hands and it spelld "Sobb" i gave it an "a" and Sobba was born.
