This part made it seem so mysterious, like a mermaid rescue or something :o

Don't regret it too much. You were young and even if you don't thanked him for saving your life he still had one of the best feelings in his live anyway (except when he's is doing it as a job maybe).
Once I saw a little kid (maybe like 5 years old) who was riding a bike straight to a main street and wasn't able to stop himself. There weren't any other persons around close enough and I could barely manage to run and stop him in time. Even tho neither the kid or the mother (they were both in shock) thanked me with words, I still know they do and I totally had one of the best feelings the whole day and even the day after.
This was probably one of my "luckiest" moments too.

I had two shuttles, and one reaver. I sent a shuttle over a T player's main, but because of turrets and other buildings he was able to send all his scvs down to his nat. I realized that I had sent the wrong shuttle and my reaver was sitting in the other one, conveniently outside his nat. I send it in and drop it just before turrets kill it. He had sent all his scvs to one of the patches between two patches so they all clumped on top of eachother, and with 1 scarab I was able to kill all the scvs from his main and 1/4 of the scvs at the nat.

I made a pattern on the scantron, and ended up getting a perfect score. You can miss a decent amount on the math SAT2s and still get a perfect score. You don't have to get every question correct unlike other SAT2s.

I didn't go to college, basically on a really strong hunch. Instead I started playing capoeira and started writing professionally.
Over the course of a year I went from wanting to do a computer science degree to a double major in English and anthropology... probably the best decision I've ever made and it pretty much all goes back to the generally "bad" decision I made not to go straight to college

I accidentally voted Type-B over Best last season or something, and Type-B ended up winning and catapulting me up to number 9 on Liquibet and I won a ticket to Blizzcon.
Other than that, I managed to win 20 bucks off a lottery once.

Well my stay in China had a shitload of luck in it.
We were 7 people flying together and i was the only one who got upgraded to business class from a full packed economy class.
There in China i stayed with a host family, the Dad had like the most perfect english i ever heard a native Chinese speak which helped me a lot since my Chinese was still very basic. The Dad was also some manager at a bank, so the Family was pretty well off and they took me everywhere.
Also met a girl during my stay there, she couldnt talk english, my Chinese became better but there were tons of weirds moments.
The probably biggest luck i had at my stay was when i needed to get my domestic flight to beijing where i booked the next flight back to Germany. So two of the guys i came with stayed at some Hotel and we wanted to take a taxi together back to the Airport in Dalian. But the Hotel they stayed in had one of the most shittiest names in Chinese Hotelnaming History and i didnt get pronounced the right way and i only knew the general direction it was in but not the street names around it. I was already a little late and i was like omg ill never meet them. My Cellphone died to like an hour before. So after saying the Hotel name about 500 times i finally seemed to get it right and the taxi guy drove me there, the guys were still waiting. Check-in would close in 25 minutes and we told the taxi guy to hurry and that we would pay him extra. That Taxidriver went nuts. If you have ever been to China in some bigger City on the street you probably noticed a lack of anyone driving according to traffic rules. He slipped in the smallest open areas overtaking one car after the other, driving through some dark back alleys with the max speed that old Volkswagen could do. I would totally get that guy into a Formula 1 team.
Well long story short, we arrived 2 mins before they closed, which we never would have made if we didnt have that taxiguy, so in the end, we reached our flight back to Germany on the last day that our Visa lasted.
Well and i have a family who supports me with all the shit i did during school and university so far.
Some multimillion lottery ticked would be nice... :o
