[Help] Dire Straits - Similar Bands?

Is there some bands that sound similar to the clean classic rock style of dire straits? I don't mean/already have: -Led Zeppelin -The Who -Lynyrd Skynyrd -Rolling Stones -Beatles

Otherwise try: Cream Steve Miller Band Bad Company The Eagles Joe Cocker Those are all in a similar vein. Not heavy rock, but good bands with often solid guitar work. EDIT: To fill things out a bit more, you could also go with: Jethro Tull (a bit eclectic, but awesome nonetheless) Fleetwood Mac (The album 'Rumors' was great) Peter Gabriel U2? Some of their older albums are similar in style and brilliance. The Joshua Tree for instance Van Morrison Crowded House Dave Dobbyn I'm personally a big fan of Midnight Oil
