I've resubbed and I have a few questions that I'm hoping you guys can help me out with.
1. Any info or theories on what skills will be required for the new battleships coming out? Besides the obvious BS V. I'm sort of lost after getting BS V.
2. I want to use jump clones before I attempt to join Hatchery (I have +5 implants and I can't afford to get podded). What's the best way to raise my standings to 8.0 with NPCs mainly Brutor Tribe Bureau since it's the highest right now? I've been running normal missions but that is slowww.

Firstly, they're battlecruisers and don't expect to be flying them in my fleets anytime soon.
Secondly, jump clone corps exist and they let you join and use their +8 corp standings to set up jump clones for free.

They aren't battleships, so you don't need battleships. Also large guns.

Oh weird, I thought they were making BS's and BC's? I already had BS V.
Also I just wanted to have the capabilities to fly them. Doubtful I can afford one any time soon.
I'll have to look into these jump clone corps. Mission running is such a snooze fest.

If you're already actually playing the game why don't you come into Hatchery Pub and we can clear up some of your confusion. Issues such as not being able to afford battlecruisers, grinding random missions and not knowing what jump clone corps are could all be helped.

Its been a few weeks and I miss eve. I miss my old family. I was a loner that lived in his own class one wh. did that for months and months before college came out and I dropped it. getting pretty depressed so I want to get back in it.
I have my own account and another one thats just a miner. my main can run a pretty tight loki but she died when I woke up and found all my stuff gone.
right now to my name I have a plex waiting for me in game sitting in jita with my iddy V with t2 rigs. anyone want to help get a old dog started with something?

Whew, dock up in a station right before server shutdown and see a red rifter docking up right behind me. So I'm like, I guess I can sit here for a couple mins to see if he does something stupid. Turns out, he's stupid. He undocks, I immediately undock, lock up he panics and tried to warp off.
A little manual flying (got a bit hairy when he was down to 20% armor as he made it within 13km (lol what's overheat). One cycle later he went poof, though.

Just join hatchery pub. You have a high post count and joined quite a while back to be a spai. Talk to a director and they'll get you on the right path. And by right path I mean, a rifter.

I set up my trial account, I don't know which name I am going to use for my character probably Ambre (if female) or Donatien (if male) and a random name. I'm going to train my rifter skills requirement which should take 14 hours approx, and I'll try to rejoin with the corp tomorrow.

When they remove 25% of the rof penalty on destroyers Thrashers are going to be disgusting. Especially in combination with the sig radius reduction.

Edit: Losing 1v1s to noob life. It's just what I do. Get enemy thrasher into armor, don't pay attention to overheat dmg, suddenly no MWD... Arty thrasher vs AC thrasher with AC orbit at 500. Sad times in sad town.

Triple edit: To expound. I'm bad at eve. Had seen the dmg on my MWD and toggled the overheat off, but opp took that opportunity to try and flee, so I OHd my disruptor. opp saw me slow to 350m/s and zoomed in for the kill T_T
Quad edit: I'm convinced Acceleration Control IV would save me from this. c/d

Did you get a 21 day? If not, your first character is throwaway and you shouldn't really put any effort into it.

this makes me happy and sad. most of the new stuff is on sisi and is amazing. on the other hand, large pulse spec 2 won't be done until late december. now these new BCs will be taunting me with their awesomeness for the better part of a month before i can really use them well...
two small unmentioned changes that make the game a lot better. now you can select a stargate from any distance and hit jump. ship warps to zero and jumps through the gate. it's a small thing that really makes a huge difference. they implemented a similar thing with the open cargo button. now with loot all as well!
