Eventually the conversation devolved into talk of bearing where we spoke about Serpentis combat sites, ded plexs, and escalations and how generally bad they were in terms of time investment vs potential reward. I also got to learn about nullsec political rules and regulations regarding coalitions and exploration rights, which still completely boggles my mind. In closing I think we all can agree that Hatchery needs to stop ganking noob fatal ascention fcs when they bring 30 people to fight our 5-6 guys.  | ||

On an unrelated note I didn't really mean to make it sound like all you took were easy kills. Although coming into FA space is alot like a shooting gallery most of the time, regardless of how many pilots we put on the field. I look forward to continuing to mock our pilots who are too stupid to not burn out at the nano drakes and hopefully will be around to give ya'll a real fight one of these nights. If you're lucky I'll even manage to do it before you get blobbed, but that all depends on how good intel is that day. (You should also totally ignore my tengu if you see me ratting :-D | ||

For the people who do not play this game: EVE is known for its free market and complex crafting system. Almost everything you do requires something, be it ships, weapons or simply raw materials, which are all gathered by players and then manufactured or resold (by players). Now it happens that there are special types of ships(basically all capital ships) which require fuel to jump(move between systems), as well as having a player owned station does. Every race has its own type of fuel. Now it also happens that due to some kind of imbalance *cough* (by far) more than 50% of all supercarriers are Nyx(gallente) which require Oxygen Isotopes, but also the rorqual, a very special type of ship used for mining ops needs Oxygen Isotops, which can be (indirectly) mined from Blue ice, which only happens to exist in 17 systems in highsec. Now the CEO and directors of goonswarm fed. thought...wouldn't it be funny if something happened to all those miners in these 17 systems which are mining blue ice? Yes it would! So they bought out all Oxygen Isotopes from the markets for days and then finally....announced they would be ganking those miners 24/7 for weeks, creating an artificial bottleneck. What happened? Prices for Oxygen went up to x3 immediately. And by immediately i mean nto even 30minutes after the announcement, without a single miner being blown up yet. I reckon the directors already sold their huge stockpile of Oxygen and profited MASSIVELY from just the announcement. It is now 20 hours after the announcement and the price has somewhat settled down to x2 after the initial boom but is again going up slowly. So the question now is, will they be indeed ganking miners and create the bottleneck, or was this just a huge hoax for a quick x3 profit on their side, relying on the market making a false move? We will see what this week brings. Sometimes I get bored with all the money and success (so much money...) and decide to kill some time doing something else. I did a 8/10 in I-UU, followed the escalation it gave right up to deklein (about 35j from Sara) and then noticed a 10/10 on the way home. | ||

Of the first 300 I put up 60 expired. I made a profit of about 35m on each of the other 240 for a total of about an hours work. There are about 400 more in the works at the moment and I'll set up another 300 or so tonight. | ||
