My price doesn't include monitor, keyboard or mouse. + Show Spoiler +![[image loading]](http://i692.photobucket.com/albums/vv286/Body_Shield/DSCF0021.jpg) Antec 1200 case (+1 extra side fan), Asus deluxe 790FX ATX MB, 8GB of Corsair Dominator ram, AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition, EVGA GTX290 Core 216 Superclocked Edition, Thermaltake SpinQ heatsink, Corsair 650W PSU (a little low but it still works), 2-10k RPM 150GB HDDs, 1-10k RPM 300GB HDD, 1 650GB 7200RPM HDD, shitty DVD/CD reader, and this weird fine dust that can get through the filters. I'm fairly sure I can't have it overclocked in the summer...

Nice. My build, plus pics, is in my TL blog, in the review I did of the Antec Lanboy Air case.

I read that a while ago, it's a neat case but I don't like how it looks

Yeah the look is definitely a love it or hate it thing. But it's quiet, cool, and surprisingly, the positive pressure to keep dust at bay thing actually works pretty well, even with the fans on low. I am tempted to add more fans, and turn the optical to pop out the side though.

This thread is no longer about internet spaceships.

Sure it is, we were just discussing various RL fits, after seeing a sexy T2 Faction fit for running our internet spaceship client.

90% of the people in this thread don't even have the support skills to fly that.

That's pretty much the exact rig I just purchased, besides the sexy EVE case of course. As reference, it absolutely demolishes anything I've thrown at it so far. Crysis 2 on "extreme" runs well over 100 fps without even thinking of any graphic lag. And because its an i72600k, with a p67 moboard, it is literally designed 100 percent to be overclocked. Mines actually still at 3.8ghz, but from what I read you can achieve 5ghz pretty easily, not to mention you can OC the graphics cards and ram clock. I can't imagine any game in the near future pushing it.
edit: just noticed they quote it at 3000 USD, that is about 3 times what I paid for mine by finding deals, if anyone was planning to upgrade

Seeing as Crytek sold their souls to the console port devil, along with everyone else, yeah, we're boned that way. I barely ever touch consoles, and I still want new ones to come out so I can start pushing my PC again.
Of course, I'm sure the hardware manufacturers are thinking the same thing, since if you look at Steams hardware info they collect, high end PCs just aren't the norm for gaming right now, between the economy and low-powered games.

I do, though, and damn would it be fun. Not that I have a clue how I'd actually make the thing sweat without cheating and using benchmarking tools just to giggle at results.

I want to build a comp into a fridge

Had that exact same thought. Only issue would be moisture-proofing to avoid condensation damage any time you open it. Seeing as no gamer could resist promptly using the rest of the fridge for beverages.
Best way would probably be to build into a semi-airtight plexiglass box mounted near the vents, with the heatpipes coming through some sort of thermal resistant epoxy coated holes straight up, with a duct off the vent attached the same way over the heatsink to guide the air past.

This thread is not about Internet Spaceships again. Thorax is not useless and you should reconsider your combat tactics. Nano is only so effective after it got nerfed a while back.

Yes, we know. Your point?

Nano is much more effective than anecdotes and theorycraft though.

Invent some way so you don't need to go to the bathroom anymore and you never have to get up from your pc again

You could do an airtight plexi(or w/e) insert, with shelves built into it, so instead of a full depth small fridge, it would be half depth, with the #color case LEDs as the fridge lights instead. With a crazy large heat sink thing over the fridge cold air outlet.

Install the whole setup in front of the toilet using a wall mount for your display. Mount a keyboard and mouse tray to one of those special metal rigs you can buy to put next to the toilet to help disabled/elderly sit up and down. Microwave underneath. Cot on floor next to tub.
Might take a decent sized master bathroom, but still.

I probed down a missioning eve uni ishkur, and got a fleet (me and 2 rifters) to go after it. We popped it, but apparently bricksquad had probed it down as well, because while I looted the wreck, a falcon, rapier and t3 decloaked. I wasnt aligned because I had just looted the wreck, and they got me down before I could self destruct.
