A Loki should work about as well for this kind of thing. There's a 5 second decloaking timer for locking, but you should do much better against smaller ships and gain actual survivability in exchange. Plus, you get an actual probing bonus. | ||

One caveat to the lock timer delay is to ram your target ship to bump him off his alignment. With any luck this will allow you to take down most ships with the possible exception being destroyers because of their size and align time relative to your locking delay. | ||

However not content with that they thought they'd try it again with a domi. It waited until it was in structure and then lit the cyno with its dying breath bringing 3 carriers to a gate. We put the word out on the intel channels while doing some damage but it turned out half my fleet was afk (rushed job in an old afk fleet) and we only had three battlecruisers. Gunpoint got there very quickly with some decent stuff but we couldn't bring down 3 carriers and we foolishly let them go seconds before I got a message from Mean Corp asking if I wanted them to bring their fleet. We then chased some shit around Bosena, failed a bit and then found a fleet of rapier, sacrilege, myrm and two canes. We had a punisher, two rifters and four drakes but one disconnected as the fight started. They jumped into us and I conspicuously baited with my drake and the rapier took it. Three drakes overheating (the sac was burning at me, I made it clear I wanted that rapier dead) were enough to bring it down. The sacrilege was pure active tanked with 0 buffer mods and as weird as this will sound, we alphaed it. It didn't get a single repair cycle, it just went down. That left the two canes and the myrm but Gem wasn't on comms and valenius was messing around after his disc so Karah and I had to co-ordinate our pointing as best we could. The canes were furthest from gate so we split points and killed both easily, bringing the battle to 405m killed, 4m lost. No idea why Gem/Valenius didn't point the myrm given comms were just Karah and I talking about how we had both canes pointed but you can't always get what you want. On the subject of getting what you want, Ueberlisk hero pointed a loki with a pith A type med booster and we got there, killed it and looted it. The day was worth a little over 2b with next to no losses of value. On the subject of losses, 14 minutes after the battle with the rapier etc nyovne lost his rifter slowboating from an off gate safe into gate guns. That was just one of the great many stupid losses he had today. | ||

Actually I kept the first cane pointed as it passed from Armor -> Structure -> Death after Karah Called out he'd lost it*. Somebody else was just shouting about something on comms at the same time. As for the Myrm, I'd just arrived on the field, whored the Sacrilege kill and was too far off the myrm to get within point in a reasonable time. *That's what I thought i heard anyway, so i pointed it for good measure. | ||

I'm not going to create a trial account but rather play my old account; I played with Minmatar ships (mainly Rifters, had a Caracal) and was a member of a similar pirate corp (except most of us were dirt poor, not much help to newer players in that regard). So that said, would there be room in the tl.net corp if I applied to it? | ||

With that said the remaining corp is taking my death into some serious consideration... they have a sabre now. At least to get this sabre out of the way lol. I still have 4 days to go before my hound.... and don't want to wait  For the loki guy- ya a loki will work. As people have pointed out the cloaking delay sucks, but a noctis is a slow slow thing, so no worries there. I think that it would be a nice boat to work with. The probing bonus can't hurt (but honestly a good hunter never uses them becuase it reveals your presence) | ||
