Every considered applying to be a commentator at AT? I think you'd fit really well into that part.

He's applied before but forgot about the Bellicose when they asked him to name all the Minmatar cruisers so he wasn't picked.

Even just for the fact that you can roam for an hour or two without any real action, and viewers just watch the warp effect on and on, it's seriously boring. When you condense days and weeks of roams into videos it looks cool, and even then the more popular videos like Clarion Call etc.. don't get that many views, which I always found a bit sad :-( Couple of my videos got 50k, 70k views etc... But when you think of the games-streaming world it's peanuts. Like DayZ streams get 50k live viewers, which makes any Eve PvP video view count seem so small. It's a niche game, and streaming fits very poorly into that niche. When you go Solo or Smallgang PvP you're usually already going against the odds as it is. Then to add streaming on top of that is like carrying a sack of rocks. And you get more or less nothing for it. As I read someone describe it in some thread: Streaming PvP in Eve feels like you're working really hard for CCP, and you're doing it for free.

Is FW (enlisted) a good place to start learning solo/small gang PvP or are there better alternatives? Where we're about to move I expect to have heavy blob fights again and I kinda grew to like the smaller PvP a lot more, and at least for now I would love to do more of that and learn how to properly fight on my own. I made enough ISK to give me enough frigates/dessies to be able to lose a ton of ships without worrying about making a profit(and I still got explo etc) so making ISK isn't a huge deal for me, just want to pewpew.

Eve is truly a weird and terrible place in that way. how could you hate on Fintarue? He's provided some of the funniest experiences in my eve life - I lost all my respect for you Gorski

If you read the beginning of the log again, it started from TT asking why Chessur doesn't stream. He points out that it simply isn't something he's interested in, because it adds another layer of stuff to do while he's in game and ultimately it doesn't align with his way of improving the player base, because of how half-assed it can be. Have you watched EVE streams? Like 95%+ of it is "dead" time, just flying around trying to find something. Then, when you find something, you fight for a couple of minutes and then go and reship, leaving you to find another fight for an hour. I enjoy watching Sard play EVE, but it isn't something you watch to learn ~Elite PVP~. TL;DR nobody is hating on the streamers, it just isn't for everyone

For quite a few reasons imo. Eve is a frustrating game, in many ways. So you have a lot of 'angry' pilots. It is also a difficult game to be good at. It is easy to be a part of something that is just working, a part of some big alliance, and feel like you're a nameless part of some big hive. But the difference between doing that, and doing something specific in Eve and being really good at it, is a really big difference. Then someone shows exactly that, in a stream or a video or more importantly - in any creative way. 'Mob mentality' is a well known factor in online games. Even just for the anonymous factor of your character. Then add to that envy and frustration/anger from one's understanding that he/she is not being creative, immaturely projected as anger onto the one showing a creative product = really shitty responses. I got so much hate for my last video, more than ever before. I mean I got some moderate amount of hate for some of my videos and during the OMC period as well, but this last one was really shocking. I probably removed close to 100, or maybe more.. very insulting comments in youtube, and I got some serious hate mail ingame, most of it was from people in big alliances whose every kill in KBs has no less than 200pilots on it. And from random alts. It was quite shocking tbh. There is always a lot of good responses as well, and I chose to focus on that. But the negative aspects of the Eve community as a whole seem to increase with time, that is my experience anyway.
