I looked for a tool that gives me good asset estimates for a while and today i found http://evernus.com/ which pretty much does what i ever wanted. A bit suprised that it has not been recommended here (as far as i saw), any one any experiences with it? Or what do you use in its stead?

the latter half of this vid which has the POV of a logi anchor is pretty interesting - anchor makes a mistake and 12 scimitars die as a result because god forbid actually trying to keep transversal up against eagles in an AB ship, gotta approach someone to do that for you.

and eve claims to have a more intelligent playerbase than world of warcraft? I mean, I never played the latter seriously but surely the easiest raids seem to have more management requirements than that~

Main difference is that world of warcraft will have half the environment painted red, except a small "safe zone" where you cannot be hit, that will orbit the eagle. The requirement will not be "keep transversal up", it will be "stay out of red zone".

It can still be a bit difficult to manage with multiple targets and it makes the overall visual messy, but it is far easier to explain to the average player.

WoW isnt easy. It's about the same as EVE. There is an easy mode and a hard mode and less than .1% finish the hard mode each tier. The other 99,9% are content with being bad and playing the easy mode, blaming their inability on the usual "im not a nerd like you, i have to work yadda yadda, no time".

A guy asked me three times for a price when I was selling dread characters for 13b. I sent him a mail back after the second one saying that for him I would do a special price of 13.5b. When I read the third one I sent him another saying to make that 14b for asking three times when the topic clearly stated 13b and 20 other people had all managed to read it without needing special attention.
He sent me a counter offer of 13.5b right then (was about 10pm last night) for the character sent immediately. I counter offered 14b and he could wait until I was home from work tonight for it because I was going to bed.

He sent the 14b.

It'll make no difference because basically nobody takes advantage of it. Po2 is ridiculously profitable. Although dread alts take nearer 8 months.

even with ~240 it is below 5 billion in investment, which sounds totally fine (for me) for a dread char that can solo some c5 capital escalations, the only issue is waiting 8 months to get there...

If you only have 5b then you should find better things to invest in that can generate far higher returns. It's only if you've got more money than you can invest that these things become attractive due to their high potential for isk sinking and passive nature.

i know and understand that aswell, but currently the passive nature is a big enough boon to consider it...

the basical weighing is: can i realistically use that 5b now to generate 14b (or whatever the dread pilot will cost then) before the 8 months are over

i have 8b cash and 6b assets

doing station trading would be much more profitable (if done right) and would achive the goal stated above, but it annoys me too much that i can not plan when i will get returns and have to play the +0.01 isk game

that is why i currently guess the po2 self build dread pilot might be the way of least resistance: i know what i put in and what i guaranteed get out, without daily pressure to perform in the station trading game
