How is EVE these days? For comparative reference I've not played in a year. Since then I've bought a monitor that will actually allow me to see things to play rather than guess what anything says so...thinking about resubbing for a bit (though still no idea what the hell I'm doing).

with the changes to jump mechanics in the last patch the EVE universe became a lot bigger. Pretty interesting times in null sec at the moment.

CCP have stopped acting like we're cattle, taking our subs for granted and throwing the money into a giant pit of vampire fanfiction and expensive trousers. It seems someone there noticed they were hemorrhaging subscriptions and had no new player retention and decided that this was probably a negative thing. The degree to which their shit has come together is pretty impressive, there has probably never been a better time to play eve in general although certainly the tl eve presence has seen better days.

You basically need snakes and links to make this thing work as a kiting ship. You can put it in sniper mode, and still be kind of quick. However even then, frigates are faster than you. If you place it in speed mode, you are forced to basically go beams if you want any range at all. I think that is going to be the only way to nano it. Looking at it this way- the beam retribution, is better in all ways except for lacking a web and some DPS. however it has much better tracking. So meh?+ Show Spoiler +

I like the attempt to make pulses decent with out scorch tbh, but how many people in here can claim they single handedly got something nerfed? (maybe more than I think)

I doubt that Fozzie notices much tbh. The Scorch changes dont look too bad, some minor optimal loss and instead you get fall-off. Seems ok.
At teh same time they are also changing small beam lasers so maybe those will become usable too, not sure yet.

Here at Goonswarm we have strong principles. Kwark would be the holder of that honor if anything. I HIGHLY doubt my actions had anything to do with the scorch nerf. Ffs- its so minuscule and useless (all other crystals are still shit) that i am not even sure why time was wasted on this?
