Faster by a few ms that's neglible. But diemos has a worse slot layout +1 useless high, -1 useful low. Needs to use drones to even match the zealot's dps. Scorch (nuff said) and instant range adjustment makes the zealot a way better sniping platform. Hybrid weapon tracking is much worse than Laser equivalent. Maybe the deimos could be an arguably better solo ship? But at that point just get into a vagabond.
Edit: Similar story with the munnin, which is also better than the Deimos for the same role.

Ok, I lied tracking is better with equivalent for gallente, but damage projection of gallente weapons still suck though.

What makes laser tracking good is that you're at 40k in a zealot and 60k in an oracle and still using close range guns. Scorch makes laser tracking much, much better than anything you could compare it to.
