its one of those failures GS propaganda tried to hide very hard, how they let down their supposed brosefs edit: im told i use the "goon propaganda" too often, but really its such an eve-encompassing thing  | ||

Also, CVA + allies in Providence are taking sov in some former AAA systems in Catch. (They were abandoned because there was no reason to pay the increased sov costs.) No station systems have been attacked yet, though. At the same time, AAA + Stainwagon are harassing 49-U, the entrance from Catch to Querious. If they want to actually take sov, then they're going to have a lot of trouble doing so. Because of the new sov mechanics, if Goonswarm mounts a successful defense just one time out of 4 (2 ihub reinforcement timers + 2 station reinforcement timers), then AAA + allies have to start again from the beginning. And remember that the timer always ends in Goonswarm's dominant US timezone. The best hope for AAA + allies is to get into the system before US prime and sit there until the timer ends. Because lag in Dominion is so much worse, it's extremely dangerous if not suicidal to jump into a system that already has a large # of players in it. (See the aforementioned downing of 3-4 PL titans when they tried to do this.) So whoever gets into the system first wins. And Russian and EU primes come before the US prime. Meanwhile, the NC is being attacked by Tri + allies in the west, and Atlas + Solar + RA (+ TeamLiquid corp) + allies in the east. Progress has been slow, mainly due to Dominion sov mechanics, but the NC appear to be slowly losing ground and may not have the ability to repel both offensives at once. | ||
