Eve is a tough game to play end-game and requires a considerable amount of time. Its a game that you can't just simply login to play, first you must check IRC to make sure your not being camped, then you have to authenticate on the forums to login to teamspeak, then you can login. Plus finding and waiting for a fleet to form up is a pain in the ass too. I miss the good old days when there were frigates, cruisers and battleships and you could fly solo in anyship and get a few kills.. now its so emphasized on fleet battles, its hard to fly around anymore because of all the shiptypes that you can't counter. No one needs to mine because they can buy it dirt cheap from the chinese farmers. Oh well.. this is why I play starcraft. | ||

Friday 1st of January: SOT Sov in 9DQW station system dropped yesterday afternoon/evening. Seems the corp holding the station system, merged into another SOT corp and fucked up the transfer. This is the second time SOT leaves a station for us so I mean lol We tried onlining a TCU of our own yesterday but around midnight goons/pl killed it with capitals. We got some support together to try and buy us as much time as possible before they could online their own TCU. Hostiles TCU started onlining at 23.45 eve time, meaning it would be online during DT. We quickly posted an op on the forum and started getting stuff into position. A few hours before hostiles put up their TCU they had deployed a faction death star in system, which was very nasty to say the least. We formed up this morning at 09:30 and started getting everything under way. Fleet got into 9DQW and capitals were on standby. We knew both PL and Goons had caps rdy and was expecting this of course. They also had a total of 10 titans present at their pos, so any sort of engagement would present heavy cap losses. We started the fight with warping in battleships at range to snipe the TCU and then the hostile fleet if they came close. This didnt really do much in itself, but it meant hostiles opened up cyno's and jumped in carriers to rep the TCU. Looking at the time until DT and everything else, we decided to commit our caps and make sure that damn TCU went down. Due to the pos armament we cyno'ed in at range, ended up around 175km from their caps and 150km from the tcu or something close to it. Hostiles then cyno'ed in the remainder of their cap fleet at the pos and the fight was on. They had more caps in total compared to us, and 10 titans, but we had a bit more dreads. We did the usual dread vs dread fight for the first 20-30min, and with their 10 titans we took quite some heavy damage. We jumped in about 4 titans after 10 min or so, to even things out a bit, but hostiles still had far more. With 10min left before DT, we switched from the hostile caps to the TCU. With under 1m left on DT we killed the TCU We killed ~30 dreads and lost ~47 in that fight, and considering the massive amout of titans they had, and our 10min just shooting TCU while they could pick us 1 by 1, this is a very good result on our part.
