I have an arcade in the box unit also I got this stick mainly so when my friends came over they could use a stick themselves, but I should buy parts for it now seeing is how what the parts they put in now are so damn cheap.. Also from those SRK posts alot of people had out of the box issues with there TE sticks... I was considering buying one on there next wave of shipments but now I'm not sure they can be trusted. How much will it cost in total to buy a madcatz stick and mod it? The stick will cost you around 80 bucks and parts will cost you a little over 20 bucks depending on what you are looking for LizardLick.com is a good site to get parts from and such.. $20 for the buttons maybe. But I'm pretty sure the stick itself is like $30.

Be prepared to spend ~40-50 bucks on the mod parts depending on what parts you want. The good Japanese sticks are the Seimitsu LS-32 and Sanwa JLF and the typical buttons used are OBSF-30's and Seimitsu PS-14's. On both of my customs I use Seimitsu parts and I'm leaving my TE stick with Sanwa parts. I actually prefer Seimitsu sticks, but they tend to change in feel the longer you use em while Sanwa sticks stay almost the same as when you get them. Other than that. Seimitsu's feel a bit tighter, or you need to move them less before you feel the switches click.
I also recommend leaving the stick with its default square gate, a lot of move assisting features are designed for square gate i.e.: df df p = shoryuken, 225 degrees = 360, df d df + p = shoryuken, charging db for charge characters, charge db df for bison etc etc. Also getting oct/circ gates for your stick is more like a training wheel for switching to square gate - you lose a considerable amount of diagonal throw so eventually you'll be blocking standing a lot more on accident when you mean to be crouching. The only disadvantage to square gate is that double quarter circle is noticeably more difficult, but that comes with practice anyways.

I was just curious, I already spent a lot on a HRAP2SA which cost $130 (before VAT&delivery) and it still feels great.
|
hrap2sa already has real parts in it right

Yeah ~$120 to get an SE, Sanwa JLF or Seimitsu LS-32-01, and 6+ 30mm Sanwa/Seimitsu buttons. The actual modding process shouldn't be that hard.
HRAP2 SA is all Sanwa parts right out of the box, it's a pretty sick LE. I wish they would make another Seimitsu LE (the one with PS-14-GX's was pretty sick) but alas no luck so far =p

Online it went from everyone using Ken to now everyone using Sagat. My last 9 ranked games, count them 9 have been against Sagat.

Well at least you will be familiar with what most consider the best character in the game now instead of just Ken.
For me I almost never play shotos anymore.. Sagat and Zangief are at least 50% of my matches. But it aint no big deal. Its fun to play: ]

Dunno if you guys have been watching the MBCGame TEKKEN CRASH T6 league vids (they're going up on the Jon747 youtube) but it's pretty hype. Group D looked a bit more stacked than the rest, lol. Pretty sick teams though, and having the MBC commentators going nuts as usual helps =p

There's going to be an SF4 tournament here and I've played like, once. Sick life get hype for unpractised Ryu/Cammy combos
