Punish slide with sweep at the very least. If for some reason he did it closer than that, low forward/short into whatever. Just be smart with fireballs, once he gets into slide range (or has meter for EX ball) you can't just toss them out. I like to jump straight up and come down with j.forward if I know he doesn't have a down charge to EX vertical ball me (or if I don't think he'll do it anyways lol), very easy to punish a slide by doing that and it will make him more wary of just doing it and hoping you threw a fireball or walked backwards or something.
And yeah you can jab (EX) ball, easier with rapid fire jabs of course. s.RH does beat it but the timing is kinda hard since the ball moves pretty quickly.

Damn thats lame.. fucking MadCatz my Standard edition stick broke on me and it's probably going to be awhile until the send it back to me.
My SE is starting to crap out too. button's sticking, joystick feels unresponsive. Not really worried about it, as I have parts on the way. You should do the same =)
Oh wow that's not good, so estimated life of the SE stick is 1.5 weeks? I wonder how the TE stick will do. Mine's still back-ordered so I can't check.
Life durations of the sticks I currently own: -The HRAP Tekken stick: since 04, half-dead, stick misinputs at least 10% of the time, buttons are somewhat sticky, unresponsive -Fighting Stick 3 (LOL): 1.2 weeks, sticky buttons, VERY unresponsive stick, can't even do rekkas LOL.
Looks like they are, but I didn't expect it to last long when I first got it. Maybe a month at most. Sucks for the people who bought it without intending to mod the thing, but that's Madcatz quality for you.
Edit: from the sounds of it, the SE's Madcatz parts are crap, and the stick's PCB can be rendered useless (thanks to a loose washer scratching it up) within just 10 hours of play.
What amazes me about this list is that 11 of the 20 characters are in roughly the same tier. O_O I have high hopes for how well-balanced the game will be after the new patch and when it is released on PS2.
Yeah my SE stick came yesterday. 30 minutes of play and no problems yet...except that OMG the stock buttons and stick suck lol. How are they compared to the EX2 or other cheaper sticks? Probably the last stick I ever touched was some Happ parts in an arcade in 2004 so I shouldn't even remember how proper parts are supposed to feel, but damn it was quite the shock. It feels like if you made the cheapest buttons possible, they would respond better than the Madcatz ones.
Placed an order with Lizard Lick on the 17th (parts backordered but once the order gets out the door, shipping from NC -> SC should be fast), so I'm in the same boat as ZoW.
Any released info on what changes exactly are being made in the S!AH2 patch? Or I'm sure we'll find out soon enough.

Madcatz said it will be a little over 3 weeks until I get it back :/ ... I have an arcade in the box unit also I got this stick mainly so when my friends came over they could use a stick themselves, but I should buy parts for it now seeing is how what the parts they put in now are so damn cheap.. Also from those SRK posts alot of people had out of the box issues with there TE sticks... I was considering buying one on there next wave of shipments but now I'm not sure they can be trusted.

The stick will cost you around 80 bucks and parts will cost you a little over 20 bucks depending on what you are looking for LizardLick.com is a good site to get parts from and such..
