Range: 600 Mana cost: 150/175/200 Mana Cooldown: 80/75/70 seconds Beast Master should be the same except: first skill does mixed damage in DotA Second skill is being fixed to be in line with DotA's manacost. Third skill is now a 18, 26, 32, 40% increased attack speed aura in 1000 range. His ultimate animation in HoN is way too long lasting. wtf old school attack speed charges

I have a couple questions. Are all you people playing HoN on Garena or is that only for DoTa? Do I have to pay the $30 to play HoN? I have no problems paying, but would like to know if you guys are playing on the free server or not first. Also does adding 74.86.154.2 embedded.garena.com at the end of my hosts file still work? None of the content on garena seems to load after adding it.

Solution: YOU GUYS :D!!! TL is such a great community! Would it be too much to ask if I could get in on some HoN action with you guys where I can learn, have fun, and not get BM people screaming like little girls cause I didn't buy the right totems? Also, are those "/j XYZ" things in the first post channels to join in the actual game or the TL irc server or something? Probably an obvious answer, but I thought I'd ask. edit: oh and my IGN is "Stane" as well.

There are only two problems - I have no idea how to be good (besides reading guides for hours and hours and playing a bunch of practice matches by myself), and if the community is anything like most of DotA (and people tell me it is) I'm due for some major BM coming from my teammates. Probably an obvious answer, but I thought I'd ask. edit: oh and my IGN is "Stane" as well. I'm just a 1600-1650 PSR player with W/L 14/5(after the reset ofc), so don't take this too seriously. First of all, play Tutorial, you play there as Pyromancer against a very poor Dark Lady(did she use skills?). Pyromancer is a good-to-learn hero anyways and with his multiple Area of Effect spells and his I-kill-you-from-half-of-your-hp ult, is a threat to many heroes, at least in early game. Second of all, the basics. It depends on the hero, what should you do. Supports support, let Last-hits(Dealing purposely a killing blow on creep to get +40 gold from each enemy creep kill) for the "better" late-game heroes and only take them if they don't. If you are ranged hero, harass the opponent by Attacking and then retreating because the creeps are very pissed because their hero got a hit from you. Tanks take damage from enemy heroes. Don't auto-attack because in the very short run, you get the advantage, but in the not-so-short run(when your creeps are at their tower), they get the advantage, because you can't be in the effective deny/last-hit range. Always try to deny creeps(A-click your teams creep when they are low and you can kill them in one hit), so your opponent doesn't get money/so much xp from it. Now you know the basics of laneing, you will know the optimal lane-compositions/start item builds by getting experience of the game, but I say something about them too. Start item builds depends on the hero you are. If you are a support, you are supposed to either get Courier(which can carry your items to you without you going away from your lane and share it for your team) or Ward of Sights(reveals a portion of the map around it). You need to communicate about those facts and both of them are needed. You learn good warding by reading guides and playing, The basic thing of warding at bottom lane is to ward the rune-spot at the lane and prevent the enemy creep pulling(pulling a pack of forest-creeps to fight with the lane creeps). A part of your start item build should always be 2 Minor Totems(to get Power Supply). I suggest you checking the Mini Guide for all the 62 Heroes. I don't get deeper in the secrets of HoN which are opened by playing and reading specific guides. And last, for the hero "types" Tank supports the team by taking damage and doing his spells(For example, Legionnaire and his Taunt + Whirling Blade) Support heroes support the team by something that helps the team without the Support hero killing stuff(Demented Shaman and his Healing Wave). Carries help the team with killing stuff in the Late-Game(Dark Lady with her Items and Dark Blades). Gankers try to find a spot to team up and kill an enemy hero without a fear of anyone from your team to be killed (Fayde and her stealth ult and AoE stun + an AoE damage spell). I only listed a couple here, check Mini guide for the rest. And the most "important" things of HoN: Don't die unnecessary deaths, don't take unnecessary damage and don't panic. For the playing-issue. Go play Noobs only(in the game name) games or no-stats noobs only games. You can also learn to play with games organized in this thread or play with friends, I play much 2v2 with my friends and have improved my skills from a 1500 player to potentially a 1700 player in only a 1 or 2 months of 2v2 I played. This is wall of text I know. For any inappropriate content I have in this post, I apology.
