Eh, don't be sorry. At least this time around I actually am trying to force myself to just play and look at how I could have played better. I wish I did that more when I played BW, but I didn't. I still ask lots of questions, but I still force myself to just go play and try different shit.
Sometimes, for one week, I'll just do the same item builds over and over on a given hero, and then I'll try something different the following week, and just pay attention to what I think works well or doesn't work well.

when you play with better people listen to what they say to you and dont argue your points in the game. nobody starts at the top, if you wanna get good you gotta do some bitch work sometimes eg buy chicken wards etc

This is a bad tip tbh, unless you getting really good in game advice on the bare basics, chances are you are going to pick up bad habits of those players. Looking back on my style of play, my first IHs was mostly little denying, more harassing, more roaming and less laning. As a result, my game today consistently has issues with a good CS, I roam as much as I can (prefer the roaming heroes). My friends from during those IHs still have issues with my "vision", I go when I see an opening not when my team is ready.
My advice to you rpf is to get into better games with people you don't know, watch replays and understand WHY someone is doing what he is doing. Build your experience, if you get dominated in a lane understand why you got dominated in a lane, not a simple hero matchup or a simple hes better than me, why is he better than you and why does that hero match up well?
Read those guides I listed earlier, and you'll get a better understanding of the subtleties of the games.

no i guess what i meant was when i first started playing i didn't understand why people would be asking me to buy chicken/wards when they could themselves. even if you're playing a carry hero if your team has better players than you who could carry over you then you might as well start learning things like when to buy wards and where to place them.
especially if you're playing a support hero having a crow is really good so you can stay in the lane while placing the wards with the crow. we're not expecting everyone here to play at a top tier level right now or anything so this is imo a pretty good tip.

The thing is rpf, for strategy games like dota and bw you have to adapt to what your opponents are doing constantly, dota way more so. It's much better to learn what each item does and what each attribute is for so you can make up your own combos and builds than to do the same builds over and over.

Yeah, I have to force myself out of my comfort zone more. See, I'm the type of person who's mind is very structured and rigid, and so being completely flexible and adaptive doesn't come so easily for me. I'll eventually get there.
