You should mention that detonate goes through magic immunity, though if you actually know to silence, most would know it already -_- Also, if there's a good target you can kill, the correct way to engage is to go to where he can't see you, deactivate vanish, shoot arrow, plant eye/detonate if silence is needed, then flurry to finish. | ||

I'm no HoN expert but when I choose to play scout I now basically copy the build used by HighwayStar, who is the only person I have seen use scout in a competitive game. He goes Runed Axe => Whispering Helm => Frostburn. I think part of the reason for this build is so you have the potential to solo Kongor pretty early, which can be pretty useful in pub games. You say that Frostburn doesn't help you enough in one area, but it is helpful because it helps you in all areas whereas the alternatives you list only help you in specific areas. | ||

Is there a better example? | ||

Scout is a bad hero lol. well, a pest with pkey can do that to any low health hero 1v1. before pkey you can outrun him  if you buy yourself enough time to use an eye and detonate, you can actually turn a chase situation around. 1v1 Scout vs Pesti is not recommended though. Like the guide says, behave like any other hero that Pesti's ulted. Hug a tower/teammates.And yea, Scout's a bad hero but he can be really really bad if played poorly. And a lotta people play him poorly. The other scout guide on that site is really pretty atrocious. | ||
