Darkcell also adds his posts, and he doesn't play with us either. Most of us who do play hon don't post like that (outside of crucifix). You also haven't realized that testie plays for five (one of the top 3 teams in hon), and quite a few of us have good psr and play the game extremely well. You obviously havent read the entire thread like some of us have for the past years, so your opinion of the last 5-10 pages may be true, but a vast majority of the thread is not spam and contained useful information when the post was made to certain patches in dota. | ||

Nah, he's right. The majority of this thread is absolute garbage. I haven't seen real discussion about hon in here for a long time. For instance; puppet builds. Do they vary against different team lineups, or are you always going to be getting bkb/satanic/dps? Can you vary to an early elder parasite for ganking, into maelstrom then bkb->mjol? Mjol first? What if someone else on your team is getting shieldbreaker? What heros should invest into a private crow bottle setup? Tb mid? Certain babysit lanes? What about pyro? If sheep isn't an option, is agahims the best item for him, or would dagger into harkon work better? What team factors would change this? What about counterwarding? Is is best to keep an eye on the team and crow it out to ranged heros to counter ward regularly, or is it better to just get invis wards? Etc. etc. etc. We don't talk about game related stuff. We talk about self-related stuff. | ||

And as far as puppet builds go, EP is a terrible terrible item for most heroes. Everyone is just looking at +ias and +ms but completely forget about +dmg taken. I know it may not feel like a gamebreaker but usually people start to roam around in teams somewhere around mid-game (often even as soon as 10min mark) and activating EP in a teamfight (especially as a low hp hero) is suicide. It might work for Chronos because he needs to maximize his dmg in the sphere and during this time he usually doesn't get hit back, also tougher heroes like Pestilence might benefit from EP. Getting it on most ranged/squishy heroes (like Predator who has horrible statgains not to mention he doesn't need lifesteal but it seems popular build in pubs) turns them into a glass cannon and does not benefit them in the longer run. On the bottle: It is also a terrible terrible item to get for most heroes (ok, maybe not so bad, but usually very bad if you get it as your first item). What does bottle give you? - nice regen (out of combat) - rune holding What it doesn't give you? - help with lasthitting/denying - survivability (can't use it if you're being hit, no stats/hp/mp/dmg gain) Other downsides: - if your enemies are good at controlling runes you're going to have a hard time refilling your bottle without winged courier which is another expenses going into not helping you early game To make this all short: You can stay longer in the lane with occassional bonuses but you're going to be outfarmed by hero who didn't get bottle as first item (and we all know where does it lead). Also: Getting bottle first on heroes who can't spam nukes (like Succubus for example) is even more retarded. | ||

not as a first item of course, that's just retarded (edit: who the hell ever suggests getting it as a first item?? i can think of maybe 2 exceptions to this rule but most of the heroes its more like "oh ok start off with a bottle with your 603 gold so then you have 3 gold left to uhh.. stare at all the denies you'll be seeing") but each team should have one+ alwaysssssssssssssssss | ||

What are you talking about Alv -_- To begin with, I've made fewer posts in the past few months than ever before, especially in this thread. Needless to say, I don't know how you compare me to the level of post whoring that LMNOP has attained. What this thread has become is a result of people playing HoN by themselves and a few people from back when trying to grab onto what's slowly dying... We had a nice little community inside TL when DotA was still around, which is something people like hak fail to realize :\ | ||

I have experienced less than 10 leavers. The reconnect feature is awesome as well. The game is very good in itself. I could get more than 10 leavers in a single day of playing dota. | ||
