I start with shield axe and tangos
I get boots first then a life tube, i finish my helm of the black legion then i pick up vestments for magic armor, then i get ghost marchers and a ring of the teacher for mana regen and armor on shutter. I finish the hood for more magic armor and get a frostsword or w.e for more slow, usually finishing it off with that thing with life steal and lastly a shrunken head and a frostwolf
The build is 1 in mound, then i max the slow/lifesteal passive when i can, the ult, and then depending on their line up after i put 1 more point in mounds, i either start the dmg reduction skill or i max out mounds. Usually depending on how fast they are.
I played quite a few games as tremble recently because i was tired of bad teammate giving me losses

not hard at all, all the items are like except the 2 luxury items are like sub 1000 in each part. And tremble wins mid almost always when the person is range, as that's quite easy unless they are diligent in wards or they have alot of nuking aoe spells like pyro. It's a bit harder mid if they have a life steal or like dev have rot, which they have more hp then you, once you hit lvl 6 he wins everything though with a bit of micro.
Thinking of mid match ups 1v1 which can get tricky are
Dr repulsor, Pred, Dev, Zepher, Blood hunter, Soul S, Damp, Elect, aramdon. Some are just hard for you to kill them others like dr rep is because his spamming of batteries makes it hard to just be in that lane. Ofc any nuker who keeps buying mana bottles can be annoying as well as tremble even with a mound and the life steal passive doesn't gain life that fast. really easy match ups are basically anyone without a disable like flint beastwood i can tower drive on them all day without too much worry at lvl 6 start with shutter he tanks the tower and i just kill em.

i think you should just play tremble like you would zeph. he sucks in team fights and only excels in 1v1 fights. just get helm and then go straight mock or maybe some more armor.

Personally he doesn't need mok with shutter he does great dmg already, so just make him into a tank like cd and you got a good mid carry. Zeph needs mok to do dmg because people can avoid him so easily and mok helps keeps up the max amount of cyclones.

Why would you get icebrand...? You have a passive that slows with each attack, your pet has the same passive AND it has an immobilizing spell.
I mean you really can't go wrong with vanguard/sny, it's like the two items in the game you can build on basically any hero and it's not gonna be bad, ever, but there are other things that make a lot more sense.

It slows with the first attack and will only slow again if you don't attack the same target for I think it's two seconds.

I just go steam, then straight mock on tremble if I can. If the game goes bad I get vanguard.
Generally the faster you get the mock the better, and tremble can farm his mock pretty damn fast. After that I usually just get BKB with even faster farm and then press q and run into team fights doing massive damage.
Chasing down heroes as tremble is pretty much never a problem. His aura + spider basically is more than enough for most situations.

I guess it's just the magic damage that does that then? I know some part of it works like that...

the damage and heal trigger every time the buff is placed, and if you attack something that is already buffed all you do is reset the duration without replacing the buff.
so the damage/heal works just like you thought, and the slow works like any other orb.

That's just the life steal part, i go ice brand because i eventually want to go frostwolf, it makes him more tanky and more anti carry, he already does great dmg with shutter so i don't need a need to make him do even more dmg.
