all the new dota heroes i haven't tried look pretty cool, so for sure. Reconnect is the only reason HoN is so damn good.

I'm having some issues with my HoN play. I like playing Initiates and Support characters, however, I die too often. And beyond that, even if I dont die, I always end up underleveled when playing with my 1700+ friends. I try my best to contribute 100% to the team, no matter what I do, however, it feels like they'd be better off without me because I just give up kills like a cheap whore and sex. Another problem I have with some of my higher level friends is that strategic picks barely ever seem to happen. With my lower level friends we often say 'We're going to run this lane [Mag/Pyro, for example] and we're going to win it.'.

I always help make things happen. Either directly or indirectly. Wards, Counterwards, looking for ganks and initiates. In the process, I nearly always seem to come off second best. I want to stop this, but I'm unsure of what I can actively try to change. I also seem to get focused down extremely quickly in teamfights. "He's squishy, let's kill him first seems to be a theme.", how can I change that?

Secondly, I've given dedicated roaming a go once or twice and it's always failed miserably. I feel it's something I need to learn how to do, to advance as a player. I also feel that learning how to roam effectively will improve my 'dying too often' syndrome. As a dedicated roamer, how do I make things happen?

Lastly, to break the monotonous lanes which seem to happen all too often, I try to mix in a pubstomp strat for hilarity. Do any of you have any good ones? We've tried Doombringer!Scout via Tempest, Gauntlet/Pharaoh lvl1 Kongor, Accursed/Legionnaire cut lane so far.

Dying for your team isn't a problem. If you're behemoth and you inititate and die but their entire team dies, that's good. You did your job. If you're dying when you shouldn't be, that's a different issue.

"High level" people rarely like to be told what to do: it's kind of weird. They might not think that the hero picking is important while playing with lower skilled people. Why think up a complex strategy if your team isn't going to play it out properly anyway? More of a problem with your friends than anything else. Competitive games and good high-level games involve a gameplan.

Kind of sounds like you're overzealous. You may be forcing a teamfight where you shouldn't be (either because your team isn't in position for your initiation or you are out of position).

Also, you can't change who the enemy decides to focus down. You can build different items to take advantage of their tendencies but often times it's just luck in pubs.

Roaming really depends on your teammates. Heroes like magmus, behemoth, and andromeda usually can't gank by themselves: they require your teammates to do something after you intiate. Roamers don't play like a farmed (levels+items) mid hero does; they can't come to your lane and rape everything even if you don't help.

I just went to dota-allstars.com for the first time in years and saw that it was closed down. On the site it says everything would be archived and available to the public. Does anyone know if that archive is up yet, and if so, where is it exactly?
