Official Welcome Page
Flesh and Blood is an up and coming TCG created by Legend Story Studios based in New Zealand. Despite the pandemic and the game only being physical, the name is representative of how the creators intend people to play (in the Flesh and Blood), the game has been seeing amazing growth. Chances are there is a local game store near you that is hosting or soon to be hosting events and product for this game.
What is it?
It's a card game where each player takes on the role of a Hero and battles it out against an opponent who might be playing the same Hero or one of the many Heros present in Rathe.

Levia, Shadow Brute
A game represents the two Heros having a skirmish, starting off strong but slowly wearing each other down until one stands victorious and the other broken and beaten down. The gameplay is pretty fast, the basics are easy to understand, but the depth grows very quickly as you start to understand how different aspects interact with each other.
Each Hero has a generic weapon at their disposal (rare ones too if you are lucky enough to open some) and a set of equipment they can take into battle besides their deck of actions and attacks. What weapons and equipment you bring to fight will depend on what Hero you are playing as well as who you are up against.
Each set of the game (thus far only 3 have been released that are readily available) introduces new Heros to pick from or adds a new spin on old heros. For example, the latest set Monarch introduced Shadow Brute and Light Warrior (Brute and Warrior were classes in the first set) which add new spins to the ideas of the base class.
What makes it Special?
The design of the game is quite unique, it borrows a few ideas from other TCGs while creating some new ones itself. Most notable to me when I first started learning the game, very limited resources (every card matters), no land (cards are 'pitched' from hand to generate resources, pitched cards go to bottom of deck), almost no dead weight (you can get hands that suck or hands that are amazing, but it is rare to get a hand you cannot do anything with), Draw to, not draw one (in FaB at the end of your turn you draw back up to your maximum hand size, which makes each turn feel fresh).
Basically many issues present in other games are simply not there in FaB. The game design was clearly well thought out as most of the rules make pretty intuitive sense but manages to allow for depth of strategy while avoiding pitfalls of other games in the space.
How do you Play?
This section will have to be a WiP as a full write up of basic gameplay will take me some time, however I will post a couple of videos as well as refer you to the link at the top of this post which is the official welcome page to FaB and offers resources to help get you started.
I will mention Formats. There are two main formats Blitz and Classic Constructed. You may have noticed on the Hero cards one says 'Young' these young Heros are for Blitz, the fast paced 20-30 min games where your deck will be around 30 cards(min). Adult heros ( functionally the same as young, just with more life points) are for constructed and use an 80 card deck.
FaB also supports drafting and sealed, and while the limited experience can be tricky in FaB it is amazing how close games can be even between a new player and one with quite a few games under their belt. Even a cobbled together popper deck can fair really well in this game.
I believe there is also a format for more than 1v1 but I am unfamiliar with that as most of my experience is from playing limited at my LGS.
