Also, best Zelda? BOTW without a doubt, after that it's between A Link to the Past or A Link between Worlds

And worst Zelda ? It seems that nobody here played Spirit Tracks or Phantom Hourglass? Because those are worst ones (Not counting Triforce Heroes, which is not exactly a main Zelda game, but if we count it, that's easily the worst one), SS is pretty decent overall.

The Switch is the best console ive ever had after the SNES

Yesterday i took a 3 hour plane and was playing a mainline Zelda/Mario game on it.

The Switch doesn't get the spin off or "small" games, it gets the full experience, and i can take it on a plane (or to the bathroom)

Yeah I take the train quite often for ~2-3h, and being able to play Zelda or Mario on the go is pure bliss !

BotW is easily 2nd best Zelda to me, maybe best when I finally set it down.

Worst Zelda to me, granted I've only finished the 3D ones and ALBW, is SS just from a user interaction stance - but a decent remake would make the worst, to me, WW. By a longshot. heh.

2/3DS had plenty of main games. Not spins off. Minster Hunter is the prime example. This is the kind of games that me and my friends would go to each others house to play! Even with 4U that had online mode.
Big trips was also spent playing it.

I had severe issues with the control scheme for both of those games, but other people liked them so I gave them the benefit of the doubt.

But still, none of these are actually worse than Zelda 2 IMO. People cut that game a lot of slack for being old/experimental, but really it's just bad.

Zelda 2 is pretty bad, it does have SOME reedeming qualities but those are clearly overshadowed by the terrible ones like, combat, random encounters, awful overhead view, pretty bland story and bosses, etc...

You sure you're thinking of the right game? Zelda 2 was a sidescroller, there was no overhead view. The encounters were not random either, you ran into sprites on the world map to start battles.
i was driving down the road this november eve and spotted a hitchhiker walking down the street. i pulled over and saw that it was only a tree. i uprooted it and put it in my trunk. do trees like marshmallow peeps? cause that's all i have and will have.

I love my switch.

Unfortunately when the switch came out it was sold out and I could not wait, so I bought the wii u version of zelda.

I'm contemplating buying the switch version.

I have mario and xenoblade on the switch, I hope we get plenty of AAA titles on the switch. But nintendo really have a great console/handheld with this.

The world view was overhead.

I liked phantom hourglass, but I think the novelty wore off for spirit tracks. Personally for me WW>BotW>OoT but I've never played majora's mask so I'm a heathen.

No love for Oracle of Seasons / Ages?

Edit: forgot what i came to this thread to say.

That's unfortunate. I wonder how costly doing a multi cart thing like, for example, FF did for 7, 8, and 9 did for disks on the PS would be, because cds are obviously a dime a dozen but carts unfortunately aren't. Also curious if they could push the rest of the game as DLC and how that would impact storage pace.

I strongly recommend playing MM, especially if it's right after playing OoT.

The world view was overhead.

and the battles were random as the enemies appeared out of nowhere, they were on the screen for like a fraction of a second before you could react

so yeah, i call that random

Bullshit about the 64gb considering most developers are not even using the 32gb ones, they rather get something less and make a mandatory download

I can see it being an issue for people porting 3rd party games though. Cart size is the reason why FF7 wasn't on the 64.

A Nintendo Direct stream in January I find very hard to believe, especially since one could do it in late Spring to still corner the E3 market hype.

Fans are expecting to see the new Nintendo Switch Online subscription service go live soon, which will include some top features.

This paid service will let Nintendo Switch owners enjoy online multiplayer gaming as well as a dedicated smartphone app that connects to their system and helps create a better network with friends for online play sessions in compatible games.

There will also be a Classic Games selection to choose from, with subscribers getting to download a compilation of classic titles with added online play, such as Super Mario Bros. 3, Balloon Fight and Dr. Mario.

Fans will also get new eShop discounts and continuing access to online gameplay and the console’s app. However, new rumours suggest that this new service - much in the same vein as on the PS4 and Xbox One - has been delayed.

First touted for early 2018, it’s now rumoured that it won’t launch until Autumn, 2018. The official Nintendo Switch Online website in Italy apparently had this date listed, before it was changed to a vaguer “2018” dating.

This is of course is no official announcement and could have simply been an error on the Italian website. However, fans will be hoping for some clarification in the near future, as the service has already been delayed once.

It was supposed to arrive soon after the March 2017 Switch release, before it was pushed back until early 2018. There’s also rumours that a Nintendo Direct is being hosted in January, which will focus heavily on Switch games.

How safe is it to transport your switch (e.g. on the plain) if you don't have a case? Joycons seem like a fragile point..

My "kids" got one for Christmas. I finished an any% playthrough of the Mario game in 2 days and found it amazingly fun. Surprisingly, the game I am now addicted to is Splatoon 2. It's like a 3rd grader's take on COD almost, but god damn is it fun to play. Many of the skills I have picked up playing traditional FPS games actually carry over very well. At the moment, we have Mario, Binding of Isaac, Splatoon 2, and Zelda. What other games are must-haves at this point?
