How good is the expansion? I haven't gotten it yet, kind of waiting on some people to give their reviews. The whole golden/dark age and loyalty mechanics seemed a bit weird reading about them, so I'm kind of waiting to see if people find them enjoyable or not, as well as other changes.

Dam I have no idea how loyalty work when at war.

I was at war with an AI and I wasn't able to keep the city for more then like 4 turn before I lose it to loyalty.. I was in between two city and I kept take them back then I lost the other one again... etc.

There seems to be a huge Emergency bug. An emergency was triggered and all the civs joined in except me against Roosevelt. I'm on good terms with him, trade etc.

Yet I had naval units sailing back home and he fired on me, we are not at war and his allied city States keep trying to attack me.

I'm quite liking the game now! Played a single player games and started and gave up on a bunch more and it seems already like a great improvement. Is anyone else feeling a massive difficulty hike from level 5 to level 6? I'm quite casual and this is my first civ game and level 6 is giving me a real challenge and I've just gotten crushed in early to mid-game playing as greedy as I used to before the expansion. Also waiting to get together with my mates and get on a multiplayer LAN game to see how the new features improve the MP experience.

Really appreciate the updates. You couldnt imagine my disappointment when I found out I could only place 3 whole polders as the dutch when I had miles and miles of coastline

The new changes are good. Civ expansions have usually been pretty impact and generally improve the game greatly.

A lot of civs are still oddly useless and don't have any real differences other then some art or a gimmick that doesn't impact much or last long.

I wish there were more civs similar to the uniquness of the cree and less on specializations in science or something.

Also religion feels really shit in this exp.
