I saw a hog attack the other day where the guy uses a single golem and a jump spell to soak up damage and distract the defending aq before the hogs go in and I think I'm gonna try that now | ||

I'm level 116, TH10, and I never get attacked by dragons. Most common is definitely golem/pekka/witch/wizard with freeze and sometimes jump spells. | ||

I am th9 and have never been even 2 starred by dragons since hitting th9. Dragons + loons though, are viable at th10 even in challenger, and can get 2 stars on most th10's, even if they are maxed. There's a video about it in youtube. But yeah, for me, in war GoWiPe, GoWiWi, GoWiHo and lavaloonian are the ones that show up most.. Dragons become obsolete, so they are seen very rarely. | ||

I've only been able to 3* one TH9 that was reletively maxed using this strategy, but it was because the stars aligned and troop AI was in my favor. I also think GoWiWiPe has some potential for SPECIFIC 3* bases 2 golem (60) 6 witches (72) 19 wizards (76) 2 wallbreakers (4) 2 minions (4) 4 archers (4) 2 heal 1 rage 1 jump clan castle (30) = level 5 pekka (25) + 1 wiz 6 (4) + 1 archer (1) However, hogs and variations of it such as the HoLoWiWi, HoLo, GoHo can 3* any TH9 base if executed correctly. The same applies for LavaLoon strategies, but I have no experience with either lava hounds or hogs in wars. | ||

Also, your defence is a lot weaker at TH9 since you can't get inferno towers (or lvl 8 'special towers') so you'll lose more savings as well. It's probably too hard to come up with any math to calculate anything sensible, but my gut feeling says you're better off getting all building upgrades and your walls to lvl 8, then upgrading town hall, instead of spending months of watching hogs jump over your walls anyway. | ||

I have all my troops maxed out except for valks, and while I know they can do some serious damage on defense if the attacker doesn't pull cc troops out first, I don't think im gonna upgrade them at all. I'd rather just dump all the de into heroes | ||
