Im just picking out what i want to play atm, i think im settled on having a Launcher + Asura duo, just levelling up a slayer to try the asura now but it looks shweeeeeeeeeet.

So my friend invited me to play DFO. He's got a lot of experience with the game so he ran me through the quickest way to lvl 20 and advancement (I ended up choosing brawler). So far it's pretty fun, especially with friends. I just got to where I can start doing arena so I'm very excited about that. Took him and I about 5 hours and a bit of pre-existing knowledge to get both of our characters to level 20. Definitely would recommend this game to someone looking for a fun time with friends outside of SC or Dota.

Here's a few bits of good news:

- The Alpha was more successful than anticipated and thus the return of Global DFO is confirmed.
- The Alpha will end on the 13th of June.
- Character names/levels will be retained. Everything else will be wiped.
- No ETA on official return date.

I really loved this game so much, I can't wait for it to come back man....

had a few diff chars, but my best / favorite one was the gun fighter I believe he was called...The PvP was so fun in this game, really micro oriented..can't wait !

I've seen some knockoffs but I don't think there's anything quite like it. You'll just have to wait until March! I'll be there, I guess as a summoner named Dismay if we're not getting a wipe.

What I've read so far from the facebook page/friends who read it and update me is that we'll probably basically have the Korean version as far as fatigue and respeccing goes. That means a limited number of rooms per day (which I think is better for the economy anyway) and free respecs. If I weren't lazy I'd source all of this stuff, but alas.

Whoa I saw that other thread, that was a ride.

Anyway, closed beta is launching soon so please excuse the double post. Here's the page for registering and downloading. You can also watch the stream event here on Twitch.

As far as hacking is concerned, the alpha wasn't running any anti-hack stuff that I'm aware of or if it was it was grossly outdated because the client was the old Nexon one. I want to say that part will be better. As for gold sellers, they're dedicated to clearing them up but I'm not sure how successful they'll be. Their current implication is that you can no longer trade gold directly and instead have to go through their auction house, which has fees and stuff. Effectiveness pending.

East server works fine (I had trouble yesterday getting into the low level channels, but anything 20+ has given me no problems), west server was barely functional and now is down entirely.

I think after tonight's maintenance it'll be fine over on West. I'm on East with a whole bunch of other friends and for the most part the servers have been fine.

It feels so, so weird being able to respec whenever I want. It's almost wrong, but I love it, and now I know the joy of Big Sis Louise.

Season 2 (All in One) patch is coming in a week: http://www.dfoneople.com/news/updates/Season2-Reborn
This will bring the game up to 80% of the way to Korean version only missing some content and the very latest balance fixes. Content is being released at a fairly regular pace with new events every 2 weeks and a larger patch every month or so.
New scenario dungeons introduced will streamline leveling a lot so it would likely be a good time to retry the game if you are interested.

I actually just started playing again and man I forgot how much fun I had playing this hah. There is so much more content then I remember from a couple years ago when I tried it last.
