Not like it matters. They will come back anyway. Its nothing new.

Except history shows that's not true. Sure a lot of them will come back but numbers show that every time this happens a significant portion do stay away for good.


Still doesn't really matter. They still make good money with 6-8 million subs. Along with expansion sales. Sure, some people get bored and take a break but they still come back to check out the new content but some people simply move on because it is time for them to.

WoW hit its peak awhile ago and will never have 13-14 million subs again and the remaining subs are basically their constant average number.

I'm not sure I'd say it doesn't matter. GW2 has much less sub's but makes more net profit than WoW does. WoW revenue has dropped about 80% year to date according to their financial reports and content suffers because of it. NCSoft pushes out more content than blizzard and it's because they make more net profit.

There are also far less paying sub's than you think. Out of those 6-8m about 70% don't pay sub's. There are major changes coming in a few months to the servers and you will realize then just how badly things are going for Blizzard in the states. Its not a coincidence that they are selling 90s, taking preorders a year in advance, and pushing out cash shop features faster than ever.

What changes are you referring to? How did you come by this information?


Major changes are coming to the NA servers when 6.0 releases. Haven't heard anything about EU servers yet, but that's really all I can say at the moment. Anyone on NA should set aside $25.

Yeah but the group that looks entertaining for me is DeMuslim which is after im home XD

I get no sound so HSC isn't the same whilst watching at work
I can watch WoD alpha at work fine without sound.

Is eu guild still up? Really on chamber of aspects? Of all servers? If its active on any other server i'd be interested assuming 3+ raiddays and active progressing in WOD etc. I do only mythic.

Na the EU guild kinda died. The server isn't the issue to be honest, its the home of Project Apocolypse for a start who are no mugs in the raiding scene and there are a few 25man HC guilds still going. It was just players who wanted to play socially made it hard to find raid days to fit everyone in.

Hey guys i'm back ! :p

I was reading through the alpha forum and apparently blizzard is removing cast on movement and that make me sad (as i just do cast lighting while soloing instance).

What are your thoughts on the matter ? Apparently (if i read right) they are removing for all classes the spells you can cast while moving in favor of instant and procs.

How do you feal about that ?

You can still casthunter spells while moving i believe. Steady shot and aimed shot looked moveable. Might just be steadyshot though not sure.

Yeah hunters are the only ones keeping their mobility (they can do their whole rotation on the move which is dumb imo).

I'm ok with ranged losing instants and casts on the move because a) soo is too ranged favoured and b) it keeps an abomination of a fight like Thok from happening ever again (hopefully).

Hunters can indeed still do a lot of there "spells" while moving but that kinda the Hunter thing.
Overall I'm happy with them removing a large part of mobility. Its been getting out of control in MoP and could do with more toning down.
It ignores such insignificant forces as time, entropy, and death

Unless I'm missing some new development, they're only removing some of the instants for healers. They're not going to touch the proc-based instants for most dps, because doing that would require a huge revamp of almost every dps class.

Many of the ranged dps classes, outside of hunters, don't really have optimal move-on-cast rotations. Fire mages have scorch, but would much rather turret fireballs in most pve situations. Mages in general have ice floes, but that has limited usage (3x in 15 seconds). Aff locks have a lot of dots, sure, but their shortest dot is UA, which has a cast time, filler is malefic grasp that cannot be cast on the move if you take the 2nd dark soul (which most do), and their biggest dps spell is haunt, which again, has a cast time. Destro locks have fel flame which is shit, so otherwise, they pretty much have to turret chaos bolts and incinerates. Shadow priests and moonkins have shit mobility all around. I can go on and on, but overall, if you actually think about it, ranged dps excluding hunters in MoP weren't actually all that mobile in pve situations if you want to play optimally (which is the key word here).

It just created a situation that was rather poisonous for raiding, where there was no real reason for melee to be brought other than loot distribution and certain rather gimmicky things like smoke bomb, banners etc. By taking out some of the more game breaking utility and cutting back on ranged DPS mobility, it opens up raids for melee to be brought for the same of being melee, not just having a few overpowered buttons that compensated for being a burden on the healers.

It's not quite as bad as many people say, but it's bad enough that something had to be done. It was either keep giving melee insanely useful/borderline mandatory things like HP shout/banner/tranq/bombs etc, or attack the core issue that there was virtually no downside in attacking from 40 yards away, but having to be right next to the boss was often a severe liability.

It's not perfect, but I think it's necessary and the best overall solution. Personally I've watched some alpha streams and WoD actually looks kind of fun. I'm considering dusting off the old account when Warlords hits the shelves around this time next year.
