what, have i missed some changes that happened in recent weeks? Those are fights with ads tho, so its not surprising Arms is strong there.

singletarget dps is still way below the other specs

Every spec is now expected to have some strengths and weaknesses, and balanced around that. Fire, Enchancement, Demonology, Combat are all examples of specs with great cleave or aoe and mediocre single target dps, and that's perfectly fine.

But yeah, they did a huge round of hotfixes before Mythic was released.

On the one hand good that Disc PWS got nerfed, it was too strong and too simple, it was going to scale completly out of control

I would however like a few tools to AOE heal better as a disc priest, while I know holy is supposedly the aoe spec disc aoe healing is quite mediocre ever since they nerfed HN. PH is too mana intensive and does too little.

This will however be quite a nerf to disc priest in PvP and (suprisisngly) they are not doing so hot in pvp.

They are most likely going to change how disc plays out later, they usually don't change how you play mid tier, and it's still shield spamming nothing is changing for disc.

Also let's see how long the TC buff is up when they realize arms gets a new skill to use when they glyph it, can't have depth in arms, must nerf.

Demo isn't a great class for cleave :\ it's great for putting out stupid damage once a minute with cataclysm and mannoroths/hellfire but outside of that its pretty mediocre.

Destro is the cleave spec with Havoc iirc

unless you have to like, move.

As for Disc, it has always been a pretty simpleminded spec with PWS so I find it hardpressed to see how they are going to change it without changing the absorption (which is core to its design and playstyle, soul if yo will. It has been that way for ages. I do have to say that I find healing much more entertaining then in pretty much any expansion, I like the way that they changed healing in WOD a lot.

I agree with specs having strengths/weaknesses is perfectly fine, but theres a big difference between combat/fire/Demo being great for cleave and enhance being great for cleave. The first 3 classes have 2 other options to go with for non-cleave fights, enhance on the other hand needs a complete new set of gear to go elemental (or atleast 7-8 items). Would like a talent choice for enhance to increase single target dps while sacrificing aoe damage

Yeah i get that, all i'm saying is that buffing a spec's single target dps because it's low, when you already have sick cleave and aoe, along with two other viable specs (at least one of which being way better in single target) isn't a very good idea.

My bad on destro/demo...afaik Demo wins with lots of targets and/or movement (like on Tectus), Destro with as many low hp adds as possible (like on Imperator and Kargath).

Healing is fine but it's way way better when there is no disc priest in the group imo. I think the best they could do with that spec is tune it to a primarly single target healer, with PWS being used as necessary only to mitigate huge bursts of damage on the whole raid, without being something that is so insanely spammable.

Locks are pretty mediocre at pretty much everything atm tbph, with a ton of gear it becomes okish, but there isn't really anything that locks stand out as being good at, let alone great. Here is the mythic butcher rankings btw for whoever said enhance sucks without cleave. This is at at least the 80th percentile.

So yeh, they're not great single target

Having said that though, in terms of dps I can't think of a class thats worse overall then warlocks.

I suppose aff is pretty good on ogron though. Idk.

Eh most other specs have decent enough sample sizes. Also, almost every other fight in HM and BRF with the exception of maybe Gruul include either movement, adds, or both, so it doesn't make that much sense to draw conclusions from Butcher logs.

They're terrible single target. Having said that, what you just said was idiotic beyond belief. "Aff warlocks suck in single target sustained fights, so yeh they're pretty great now that iron juggernaut dies in 2 minutes."

This so much. I didn't like that "aoe heal from 10% to 100% in 3sec" we saw in pretty much every SoO fight. It was always like that, but in SoO we had reached a disgusting climax. I love that you have to properly coordinate with your other healers now to not go oom/let people die, Mythic Brackenspore is a great example of a good healing fight.
