Is it normally like this? -.- on a monday/sunday? I'm not surprised. Good pug groups are all on tuesday and wednesday. This is also a factor.
Most guilds don't even do heroic mode anymore so its pretty much free game for anyone over 650+ ilvl

This post is going to be a synopsis of my experience returning to WoW after leaving during TBC, and it's mostly about leveling:
Started horde, rolled an Orc Shammy(Ele/Resto) and a BE Priest(Shadow/Holy). Leveling is a great experience (I haven't purchased WoD yet) and I've had lots of fun leveling up my first two characters; unfortunately I stopped leveling my shaman at level 41 because every time I got more abilities the game play felt more and more clunky playing ele/resto while on the other hand getting more abilities on my priest has been like filling in a puzzle and everything becomes more fluid for both priest specs.
The fun things about leveling have been the streamlined quests and the dungeon finder; I've never felt the old "fuck me, I just walked by that shit at the other side of the zone and now all the mobs have respawned" feeling. Questing has been more interactive and interesting with convenient vehicle travel that blizz has put between quest hubs along with the vehicle combat. The dungeon finder has been insanely fast, mostly due to being a healer hybrid which is even more noticeable during Outland (ie. the 4 DK's and me dungeon zone). I personally think dungeons are way too easy but after a few groups that were almost hopeless I can see why the dungeon difficulty is nonexistent; I'm quite sure I played with a couple little kids, and I do not mean that as an insult, I'm 90% sure they were little kids playing on their parents account having a blast being the heroes taking down the evil monsters, they were even super happy when they got some loot.
The magisters terrace was the most fun dungeon for me, and oddly enough it was with one of my worst groups (it was my first time in that dungeon too) that it was the most fun. During the dungeon the dps were very unaware of their surroundings however the tank was very good at saving their bacon and because of the unnecessary large amounts of damage healing them was challenging for me. During the last boss (Kael) I had no idea what was going to happen since it was my first time in the dungeon, needless to say the dps got fucking erased which left me and the tank to finish the dungeon chipping away at Kael while dancing with the moving balls of doom in zero gravity. I wish more dungeons were that interactive.
My priest is currently level 78 and I just recently emptied my bank account to purchase the first 4250 gold speedy flying training and I'm taking a break since the semester is starting again (yay last semester of engineering!) so that sums up most of the fun for me.
The only piece of leveling that felt out of place for me was professions, they mainly served as a source of income for me and leveling inscription/herbalism felt kind of pointless. I was even less motivated to level them when I heard that having a profession leveled in WoD gives next to no benefits because of garrisons, a different problem for a different time though since I'm not there yet. I am happy to have fast flying though since using the dungeon finder a lot usually ends up with me over leveling quest hubs and I don't always have an easy way to get to the next town/flightmaster.
On another note relating to the game, I have small hands. And I do distinctly remember having difficulty using all of my spells without misclicking since I'm no starcraft pro, and I went out of my way to solve this problem without becoming more skillful with my keyboard. I bought a Logitech G600 and holy shit I can use all my abilities when I want to, even the ones I rarely use and I haven't even filled up all the mousebinds yet. I've had a couple logitech mice and a razer mouse in the past, logitech always seems to have better build quality while razer mice seem to attract gunk somehow. The software for the G600 is pretty straightforward and there even a few walkthroughs if anything gets confusing. I'm set on using this mouse for everything because it feels great in my tiny hand and works extremely well.
I also bought a mouse bungee, I know I don't need it but it was like $8 before shipping (from China) and I like it. The ones sold by all the gamer brands were overpriced and embarrassing in my personal opinion. The $8 one also looks more sturdy the razer one that I was considering. The other gamer brands were leagues above the razer/china ones in price and in looking absurd while hogging up more valuable desk space. Link to the bungee on amazon
After a few seconds of thought this probably could've been a blog post, TOO LATE!
Edit: More leveling zones should be like Thousand Needles

For the record: maxing professions makes you get gear at about twice the rate of someone without them maxed. You can still GET anything, but the mats you get will be slower.
(i.e. non-maxed alchs get ~4 Catalysts a day, I get 10.)

Yeah the "you can have every profession with the garrison!" is kind of a myth. You produce way way way way more stuff if you actually have the profession levelled up, which is a pretty big deal since all the mats necessary to make stuff are on a daily cooldown or tied to garrison work orders. The only professions that got really screwed are gathering professions.
Incription is still pretty pointless though i'll agree with that. At max level you can make passable profit with darkmoon cards, but it's nowhere close what i make with jewelcrafting or tailoring on my other characters.

Basically, I transferred to this server to play with a friend in this guild where he was tanking (plus his roommate who was DPS). The officers were kinda egotistical, which caused tension. Didn't like to listen to other people's ideas for strategies or any of that.
So, last night, I get on and have mail from our Hunter saying "guild collapsed, immature leadership transferred off" and I'm like wtf, so I check the roster and like 75% of the core raiding team is missing. A quick armory check shows that the guild leader + 3 of the officers server and faction changed, since they didn't even bother to change their names. They also looted most of the gbank, but not all of it (made like 3k gold so far aw yeah)
Today, I get home and the last officer is also gone, but stuck around on an alt to tell people what was going on. Apparently the guild leadership disliked my friend and his roommate for being outspoken, but could not find a suitably skilled replacement tank on the server, so they couldn't afford to just kick him if they wanted to continue the guild. So instead they ditched the server, which the guy that stuck around made abundantly clear by repeatedly calling it shit etc.
As it turns out, they had transferred to the server to try to get realm firsts and were annoyed because they weren't getting it with a guild they had started like right when WoD came out (we were ~6th on server), which is even more hilarious because checking their armories their only raid experience in relevant content prior to WoD was LFR and 6.0 SoO.

That sounds like a hilarious nightmare. Savor the drama I say.

Why do people have to fail when you're still at 35K dps near the bosses death on mythic twins and then not fail when you got the shittiest RNG all fight long

Best part of raiding was always guild drama. The best guild drama was always that which tied into real life, I've seen marriages ruined over it, I've seen a woman exchange anal sex with a couple of officers for a guild invite.

The only logical thing to do is for your tank friend to start a new account and go to their new server, join the guild and then get outspoken again after some time.

Fucking hell finally one clean raiding night, 7/7 normal 6/7 hc without a single wipe in about 3 hours. So much better than the sloppy shit runs we've had in the last like two weeks.

Then the RL assigned a resto sham and holy priest to trigger for butcher. I don't know why I'm still with them tbh.
