It will take hours and hours and hours of practice. So be prepared. Do you know how to air strafe? It is basically the same idea. some people find it better to rebind jump to mouse3, although spacebar will still work. first get at least a little speed, jump, and move your mouse to the right while at the same time hitting the 'd' key. Then the moment you land, do the opposite motion. You can usually only get 2-3 bounces before stopping, but thats how people bunnyhop in 1.6. If you are doing it right, you should notice a huge acceleration on your first hop.

bunnyhopping consecutively with a spacebar is kinda tricky, but it is still possible. otherwise, mousewheel is the way to go its nothing like 1.3 bunnyhopping though ![]()

Second post explains a little. Is for natural selection, but it works the same way. In cs is much harder to do, and you gain speed for only 2-3 jumps usually, but it can save you, helps to take cover really quick around a corner, helps reach certain places (nuke's roof) and some more stuff.

bind mwheeldown "+jump" or bind mwheelup "+jump" then run straight, start strafing left+holding forward for a second, and then jump and release your forward button. turn your mouse a little to the left, and as you're about to land, use your mouse wheel to scroll down (or up, whichever one you bound it to) and switch your stafing to the opposite direction (in this case, strafe right) and turn your mouse a little to the right. there have been many similar threads about this on www.GotFrag.com - use the search engine and just type "bunny" and I'm sure you'll figure this out eventually. Bhopping really isn't very hard at all and it's kind of nice to use when you need to avoid being hit (playing awp_snowsk337 and trying to knife an awper or when you're on de_dust2 as Terrorist and you're running to A from Long A and you need to get past the gap without the AWPer near B picking you off. Bhopping makes you a pretty hard target to hit) hope I've helped :0

you can bhop in 1.6 but you wont accelerate faster than you normally would. Its good for knifing or dodging awp shots or just being leet..''

Never seen it done properly or to any effect in source. Also, if you are any good with an AWP you will just predict where they will land and fire off as they descend.

To those who disagree with me I can just say, don't bother telling anyone that you can pull it off without losing speed without a script, cuz it's just not possible. After a couple of jumps, much of your speed will be gone. It is not allowed in most forms of competition, so I don't use it. How to do it manually? 1) run forward 2) jump and ... 3) immediately release forward button (w) and 4) immediately press the strafebutton (a or d) and slowly turn in the same direction (with mouse, and it must be a rather slow and continous turn) you are strafing in the air. 5) just before you land release the strafebutton and 6) press jump again a split second after you landed, then repeat from 4-6. You won't be able to travel any faster since 1.3, so the only tactical use left is to quickly get behind cover, like jumpstrafing around a corner when fleeing so that you'll be harder to hit, or pass through vents more quickly etc. On certain maps you'll be able to clear jumps otherwise not possible as well. But as always, learn how to play default. Only crappy players relys on scripts, and variable abuse, and config tweaks.

This way, getting perfect timing is much much much easier, and if you see someone pulling off more than 3 jumps in a row without losing any speed, then he uses a script like this. Most Main+ players can bunnyhop without scripts, and one of my friends can do it almost continuously (again you dont get the acceleration you did in 1.3). It just takes hours upon hours of practice.

But you need to do a (i dont know the english name for it) special movement before the jump to gain momentum. Most good bhoppers do this trick before begging to bunny hop to jump further...

After having made the turn+jump for your Glide, ease off your 'Forward' key, switch to your opposite strafe, and make a very gradual bhop mouse arc before you land. (Fig.2) From here you, can move into a regular full bhop motion to maintain and further increase your speed. What you are doing to reach the redrock is Glide, which is that turny jump ![]()

its the same concept, bunnyhopping is strafejumping over and over again theres nothing to it, it just takes practice
