Yeah, you should've seen the amount of crap there was in the chat (and JP's reddit) when this went down. I wouldn't be surprised if those are mostly legit "upvotes". People were furious after Geoff tweeted that he is out of the show.

Tbh, based on reading EVERYTHING from everywhere this all seems to go a lot deeper then just a few words being said, they need to take some more time off and figure shit out.
EDIT:probably super obvious information, but yea...

After reading both statements i have to say, poor Incontrol, never at fault, always the victim of cruel and harsh surroundings, what a poor guy.
I hope those two can get their egos back on a normal level and act like grown ups, i really enjoy their content.

I find this quite funny. The only experience i have had with roll play is watching The Big Bang Theory and seeing them play it and well they didn't even have any problems with it, it just seemed like a nice game for nerds to use their imaginations.
But when i read whats been said i think to myself why would you table flip a game mid stream that makes no sense at all. I mean Geoff acts the way he does imo for viewers and it works, everyone watches the guy that is controversial or that says what most people are thinking they like that guy. Sometimes these type of people overstep the marker but normally its just a swift apology and everything moves on. But when nothing is said and its just all up in the air it makes no sense to blow your top over something so petty and ruin a show. The fact is this show is now going to lose a lot of viewers, whether that is because people are fans of Geoff or whether they now dislike JP or whether they think the show just got stupid because of that. So for acting the way they did they just ruined the show and it wont be as big as it was before. Just like State of the Game, i used to watch that week in and week out then boom some childlike shenanigans happen Artosis no longer on it, IdrA doesn't go on it, Incontrol hardly turns up, Tyler doesn't turn up = Im done.
Things like this always happen but for me happens too much for JPs shows so now i stay clear of his content ^_^
For all those who want to watch decent roleplay re watch Big Bang Theory :D

The Community D&D episode is much better than the BBT one!
Regarding this episode, I kinda got a bad feeling when I heard what Geoff's new character is like. He's like Vincent without the filter, mean and violent (in his own words), so when he tries to lead the party, it has to be in a dick-ish way. His character will always clash and argue with the other party members. I'm just not sure how much fun a character like that would be to play with. I'm not blaming anybody here (you're free to roleplay how you want), just doing a character observation on the group dynamic.
I'm just surprised things blow up that quickly though. I sincerely hope JP and Geoff can reconcile!!

I'm curious how Idra feels about d&d. Would be quite the show if him and Geoff paired up with whoever else, creating their own show.

They would both be lawful / neutral / chaotic evil 18 intellect characters.

Why do get the overwhelming feeling JP is going all white knight on this, if geoff was mean to a male character/player consistently would JP have noticed and acted the same way, or would he have giggled and thought "ahh, that's geoff for you, perfect guy for my show" just like he was in early Sotg...

I kind of watched last year the PAX stream and let it run. Came back and this D&D show was runing and I watched first time such a thing. And It was mindblasting to say it this way. Watched everything from it and than I saw D&D coming up by JP.
But as its the Internet I believe you want to hear my opinion too because its so important. The show was boring. Only reason I tuned in to listen to it was because Incontrol & TB have been on it. And I enjoy listening to both. And I swear to god I do not agree on their opinions a lot of the time. TB serious, "Not the robot" you asked for a Wallhack in a Game. Shame on you! And its kind of a shame both not being able to keeping me interested in the show. JP is kind of the human reincarnation of MLG. A lot of blabla without a base.
The two episodes i watched I just saw that JP is so into this girl. I dont know if they are together or if they are brother and sister. If I look at JP when she talks I just see that cares so much about her. In the 2 shows I watched she interacted way better with Incontrol than with JP. What is understandable. He is married, so she knows he is not just the man who is friendly because he want to get laid. But JP was responding like Incontrol is competing with him. So he gets protective for a girl like we all do we like. And thats how such things can just happen.
This is what I see but ofc I dont have the view on all of it. Thats based on what I have seen.

Trying to imagine JP freaking out over geoff calling artosis a whiny bitch but the scenario is so absurd I can't help but laugh. And that's "out of character".

Something during this episode bothered me way more than the abrupt cancellation and ensuing drama.
What bothered me the most is that Gen wouldn't use a healing spell on JP's character. A party member has a wounded leg with reduced movement speed, is at half health or less, is bleeding to death, and she--the healer of the party--refused to use a healing spell. Why? How could that possibly be a good idea? She was just going to leave him to rest and heal naturally when they need to make a hasty exit from town in a dangerous situation where all party members need to be at full capacity?
The way her previous character stole loot from the party and was not a team player also bothered me. I always felt the rest of the party when they became aware of her extravagant spending and hoarding should have confronted her and cut her throat just like they cut Banon's throat. But at least in character a dishonest thief who contributes nothing to the party could be justified.
But why would a healer not heal their party? I don't get it. It is bad roleplaying and I really think it detracts from the show.

Neal: Your lovebytes can fix this for sure.

Super good point there, but I think it's better at this point to leave the cast to sort it out between one another.

I hope you guys can sort this out. I enjoy watching this show more than anything else in esports or on Twitch.
I think JP is a cool guy but he totally overacted here. I can see why incontrol feels somewhat betrayed. He helped build the show. It wouldn't be anything like as popular as it is today without him. I'd wager at least 50% of the Solum fan base are a result of Geoff's efforts - be it through introducing his large SC2 following to the show or just being, IMO, by far the most entertaining character. To be chucked off all of a sudden must feel like a real slap in the face.
I do feel like he's impatient with Gen sometimes but for gods sake, just let Geoff know how you feel in the break and get on with things.
