I've been watching streams (and playing myself) for a few days now, and this is absolutely amazing. A ton of bugs but still. Can't wait til there's a little less bugs and more content.

Their ban policy is basically "oops you got banned for whatever reason" and they permaban you on every server forever, no appeals This can happen because you accidentally pick up an item youre not supposed to, and then you can't drop it because it's a bugged item etc. Wierd shit like that Seem's like massive dev/power incompetence I would like to play sometime if theres a way to play for free though

Keep checking the full ones (as any daytime one will be full), and check twitch streams for Europe players that have daylight. I now play between 2 servers, both of which equal up to total daytime for me.

Because I'm deeply considering purchasing this game, but $30 seems a bit steep to pay for a game just to play a mod on it. Do y'all think it's worth it? Or better yes it there like a TL server? There is no other experience out there to match this mod. The replayability and limitless possibility makes it a steal at $30. People are also saying that it may go on sale during the summer?? I don't know about such things though. As someone who went from watching streams of it to finally purcashing and playing over 18-20 hours so far... I can tell you whatever you see and like in videos or streams will be amplified exponentially when you actually play yourself. As for TL people playing together... the best bet is to keep this thread alive and hook up through here. Add each other on steam, use steam voice, and hop on the same server. You'll find trying to link up with people after spawning a journey in and of itself.

Anyway, I was helping this one person for a good bit. She had very low blood (health), and her screen was basically black and white at this point. I saw someone in the distance and finally got him to respond. He said that he had blood packs to give (restores health/blood to full via transfusion.. must be done by someone else, you can't use it on yourself). The only problem was, we lost each other. So, we spent the next 20-30 minutes or so finding each other. Once we finally found him, he gave her a transfusion to full health. We were both so thankful and amazed how nice this stranger was and how he spent so much time helping someone he did not know. Well, it turns out he was low blood as well and needed a transfusion too. He asked me to go into his backpack and get a blood pack. I grabbed a bloodpack. I then went to give him a transfusion, however I was a bit new still and had been drinking. Instead of htiting the mouse wheel, I hit my left mouse button. I shot him in the face and he slumped over dead right in front of me. I was completely dumbfounded for about 10-20 seconds wondering what the hell just happened. The female I was with was streaming on twitch... I watched her run around in circles saying "sniper sniper!!".. her chat was saying things like... "I think Zeratul killed him..." (my ingame name). Eventually I typed into chat admitting that I accidentally killed him, apologizing profusely saying it was completely by mistake. The person I killed even remarked a few minutes later "please please tell me that was an accident and that all humanity isn't lost in the world...." I seriously felt HORRIBLE for what I did. Next thing you know, I get sniped by someone that was listening in the whole time. As soon as I drop dead, she starts freaking out (watching the stream remember) and honestly thought that I pulled the trigger on myself after seeing how horrible I felt for what I did. After figuring out a sniper got me.. she took off running but was gunned down as well. This all took place over an hour or so, and it was some of the most epic moments I've ever had in gaming. Since then I've become very good at this game and lead a saintly life. I've only murdered one other survivor, but he started shooting us first at the airfield. Little did he know that I had a sniper rifle in my backpack and his AKM couldn't quite get the accuracy right from the distance. I have killed bandits, but that doesn't count as murder since they choose a live of evil. I could seriously write a screenplay or a book about some of journeys I've been on in this game. At this point, my partner and I (not the female from earlier) have been alive for over 8-10 hours. We are loaded to the gills and always find ourself in some sort of trouble and recovering slowly. This game is so amazing... the stories, experiences, emotions, adrenaline, etc will all be enthralling. If you think this is a shooter, you are wrong. This is basically a real life zombie apocalypse. You need to think about every action and step you take if you hope to survive for any amount of time.

and like I've mentioned before... if you don't have a buddy to play with, just talk to survivors you see. Trust me, they want to team up with others as well.

My experience is mostly spending 20 mins trying to get into a server, another 20 mins waiting to spawn and then in 9/10 cases realising the server is completely fucked and having to go through the whole process again. I'd say out of the 5 or so hours I've spent trying to play this game, about 1 hour of it was actually in game and most of that was riddled with lag and/or technical issues.
