Hunger and thirst don't accumulate while offline, so I don't see why the first thing is an issue. Items and entities outside a player's inventory are serverside and are not saved across servers. Some things save through server crashes and restarts, though. Loot and zombies in a small area around the player are removed upon login, and while u can leave an item on the ground, it's safer to put it into a camping tent (works like a storage chest). The tents remain on the same server and from what I understand, they don't work yet and they even remain while you're logged off. So.....anything in the tent could get stolen. Then again, the map is freaking huge, at 225 square km it's 8 times the size of Skyrim/Cyrodiil, and bigger than the Marshall Islands. My friend takes him down, but the gunshot alerts 25 zombies, so the three of us start running like mad. We get to a field on the side of a hill, and try to take the zombies down while running round like headless chickens lol. Problem is, I'm using a Makarov, and can't see anything. I was using the light emitted from muzzle flashes to aim....somehow, we avoided shooting each other and I only used up two mags, taking out 8 of the zombies. | ||

Made my way to an elevated steel platform with two staircases on either end. I lit up the ground with a flare to get a view of my surroundings. At least 1 Zombie. I went prone to make as little noise as possible while crawling from end to end of the platform, but somehow the Zombie noticed me anyway, so I took him out with my first shot of the game. Feeling confident, but there's the worry of alerting other Zombies in the area. I stood up from my prone position, but as I was hanging over the edge of the platform I fell straight to the ground, breaking my legs. I only noticed after a second or two that I'd landed right next to another Zombie. After killing him and 10 subsequent Zombies that came to investigate and being unable to move anywhere with my demolished legs, I finally gave in to the next Zombie that came my way. A short, shameful and brutal introduction to Chernarus. I love it. | ||

The game doesn't offer ways out of situations and death is always lurking around the corner. Think every action through :D | ||
