Maybe because that worst company owns the rights to Simcity because they well...created it? Simcity 2013 has a lot of flaws, but the game is slowly getting there. I do think EA forced their hand releasing the game way before the game was finished though. I am really looking forward to the new regions though for sure. Also the 3D RCI is great. Good for you. The pos they released last year was so terribad. Its like they are now mocking people with the new broken content they want to unleash on the servers ( who might be down for a week after release guys LOL ) gg no re.
they had devtest servers for quite a while now where people (when selected) can test upcoming patches/content. It shouldn't break. (hopefully)

Whatever, you shouldn't support EA no matter how good Sim City eventually might become. They have just fucked over the gaming industry more and more.

or just wait until its uber good and on some kind of epic STEEAAAAMM sale. huehuehue

You realize SimCity is an Origin exclusive...
|
And even if you bought it on Steam sale, you would still be supporting EA, which they don't deserve at all.
|
sarcasm doesnt translate well on internet lol.
|
so did this game got better? i stopped playing after one month.
|
Ramps are cool but square cities are not :S
Maxis pointed out we will never have non-square cities (or bigger ones for that matter) so I think It's a bit late to expect improvement.
|
no bigger cities, no thanks. Getting tired of the crap coming out of EA studios. First this, sim city, then BF4 in its months off from finished state.
|
nope, still a turd.
this game made me 100% not buy anything from EA at all anymore. Not even if Bioware would conjure their past glory and make an epic Baldurs Gate 3.
|
I agree with you, but a BG3 would be irresistible. :D

Dragon Age: Origins = BG3

not even close.

DA:O is way better than BG1/2 - not even close. In 2013 BG1/2 is just not good anymore.

I bought Sim City today, i hope i won't regret it though. I thought that i recently heard that the developers are still improving things, so i guess i'm up for a big surprise about the current Status.

lol a big surprise? Unless you consider a surprise that things still don't work as they should...or that the game is still...meh.
I played a bit last night after not playing since the first days after release and the flaws were the same. Plus the really small cities kill most of the game's experience. You can play a region solo, but there will be things that you need to have in each city and all of a sudden most of your cities look the same because we have little to no space to go past the essentials (notice I'm exaggerating a little bit of course, but I think you get where am going with this).
So unless the rumours for off line + bigger cities are true, the game is stil not worth it. I've never bought anything for 60€ that I ended up regretting...until I bought this game.

Got an email, now theres an offline mode. EA you really listen! Finally?
|
Probably a bit late to make anyone who bought the game to care enough to come back and spend more money on expansions.
|
Probably right, but at least now i know i can install some awesome 3rd party mods and play offline without much work.

This.
Mods keep a game alive for many many years. Look at the UMS still going on with broodwar. Even a relatively unknown game like Battlezone 2 had a huge mod community that kept it going for 10~12 years.
