Matt Brown is a wily veteran who can take a punch. His grappling and submissions are good, but to say he's been doing this for a long time thus is a black belt is a joke. There is many things you have to look at. One of the most important being where he trains.
That's the reality. I have guys who show up at my gym all the time claiming they're black belts when in reality they aren't even close. You have to re-teach them and the years really don't matter at all in most cases.
