The starting lineup for the Clippers (CP3, Blake Griffin, Chauncey Billups, Caron Butler & DeAndre Jordan) might be the best starting 5 in the NBA.. Billups isn't as good as he used to be, that's what happens when you get older, but he's still a brilliant player who'd get spot in p.much any NBA team this season
I'm not saying the clippesr should cut him, I'm saying that he's probably the worst player of the 20 left in contention. I would also rather have stephen curry on the olympic team than him as well

You'd rather have a guy who's messed up his ankle three times in the period of two months?!
.. I'd aim higher and go for someone who might actually be able to play

At some point on Olympic teams, you just want glue guys to hold everything together, even if they're not getting playing time. Considering how deep the talent goes already, I don't think they need more explosiveness. They need some adults in that lockerroom.
There's basically Kobe, Chauncey and CP3. DWill, Wade and maaaybe Love are teenagers. The rest of them are children.
Then again, you basically just need to plan your team against Spain. D12, Chandler and maybe Love. While Griffin is the exciting choice, the kid just doesn't play defense. You're going to want more than a cardboard cutout against the Gasol's.
Also, a hilarious story about Kwame from Kobe.
“But like, the game before we traded for Pau, were playing Detroit and I had like 40 points towards the end of the game. This is back when Detroit had Rasheed [Wallace], Chauncey [Billups] and those guys, so we had no business being in the game. So down the stretch of the game, they put in a box and one. So I’m surrounded by these players, Detroit players, and Kwame is under the basket, all by himself. Literally, like all by himself. So I pass him the ball, he bobbled it and it goes out of bounds.
“So we go back to the timeout and I’m [upset], right? He goes, ‘I was wide open.’ ‘Yeah, I know.’ This is how I’m talking to him, like, during the game. I said, ‘You’re going to be open again, Kwame, because Rasheed is just totally ignoring you.’ He said, ‘Well, if I’m open don’t throw it to me.’ I was like, ‘Huh?’ He said, ‘Don’t throw it to me.’ I said, ‘Why not?’ He said, well, ‘I’m nervous. If I catch it and he foul me, I won’t make the free throws.’ I said, ‘Hell no!’
“I go to Phil [Jackson], I say, ‘Hey Phil, take him out of the game.’ He’s like, ‘Nah, let him figure it out.’ So, we lose the game, I go the locker room, I’m steaming. Steaming. I’m furious. Then, finally I get a call, they said, ‘You know what, we got something that’s happening with Pau.’ I was like, ‘Alright. Cool.’…That’s what I had to deal with the whole year.”

the heat put on a great showing tonight. and miller 6 for 6!!! holy shitt welcome backk miller! lebron and bosh did work on them too though ( spurs ). i hope they keep this up
Box Score won't show it(120-98) but, Miami tonight was in serious danger of losing the game. They were down at one point by 15 and managed to turn that completely around in the second half. Miller had an amazing game for it being his first of the season(6/6 from three). Great to have him back.

wat.
who you cutting from that team if you don't cut chauncey? Other than griffin cause they don't need high flying no defense power forwards for international ball
Yea Blake Griffin should not be on that team. He's good, really good. But I'd rather have Kevin Love on the team, and above all Bosh and Lamarcus Aldridge are better than both of them.
Predicted starters: Paul, Bryant, Durant, Lebron, Dwight Predicted Bench: Rose, Wade, Iggy, Lamarcus, Chandler On the Fence: Bosh, Gay
A few stipulations, this goes on no one getting injured again, and Coach K looking for a versatile player in Gay, rather than outside shots by Melo and Gordon. I think upfront is pretty solid, Bosh at 15 feet is as deadly as anyone, however he might run deep into the playoffs, and not be as fresh as Love, who can step out to the three. Chandler might be cut as well, for Love, Melo, or Gordon.
I'm pretty sure Iggy is a shoe in under Coach K, but I've been getting other people saying Melo is more valuable than him.
hmm I kinda liked Carmelo as 6th man b/c of his versatility but I guess any of those guys could easily be as good a 6th man as him. Plus I would say Love has to have made a case for himself already. He is a glue guy, does the dirty little stuff, and you know he brings his hustle and hard work to every single game.
Melo can definitely get you buckets, I'm looking towards him more than Chandler now, since Dwight is better, and one big is good enough in international play, especially with Bosh and Lamarcus who can play big in international ball.
Lebron and Iggy seem redundant. Lebron should run the second unit and Chris Paul the first. Lamarcus and CP3? That's really nice. Pick and pop all day, pick and roll all night. And plays with some one like Gay or Wade as a trailer? Oh man. Scary.
mad props to NJNets broadcasters for playing pictionary to describe their upcoming schedule. bridge for GSW, lightning bolt for OKC, and a cat for CHA. #1 broadcasters imo
