I agree that Wade is a problem for any defense. He is even better then Lebron if you ask me.(now let the real flaming begin...) Dirk is decent as a defender, altough he made huge steps since he came to the league, but has major flaws in his footwork, positioning and commitment.(and yes i say that as a total fanboy). But he is smart, savvy and nobody can deny that he tries and WORKS. About the other guys you mentioned, yes they are great, even special. As is Marion, maybe he doesnt get the credit, cause all jump on the bandwagon that Cuban wants to sell him 4 high stakes and praise him to far. They are right to a certain degree(would be stupid otherwise),but talking down his work and skills is not fair. I give the edge to Iggy over Marion, but considering Moute or Allen,I`m not convinced. Kyle Lowry and Mike Conley truly not (call me biased on that one). Rondo is another story,as is Deng. Perhaps Ibaka, but I would count him as post defender.

* Choose between Melo and Amare as the #1 option and go from there. * If it were me, I'd be flipping Melo to someone like Philly for a package of Iggy, Evan Turner (or maybe Jodie Meeks) and Nicola Vucevic (haven't really done too much due diligence on this--just a thought). * If you're going to flip Amare then hmmm, I'm not quite sure. Houston seem to always be shopping Kevin Martin and Scola, but I'm not sure that's a great return for Melo. They may have to, ironically, give the Knicks their pick back in that sort of package too. * If you're going to keep Melo, D'Antoni has to go IMO. D'Antoni systems and Melo just don't mix.

* If you're going to keep Melo, D'Antoni has to go IMO. D'Antoni systems and Melo just don't mix. and to think D'Antoni was happy with the team he had BEFORE Melo! Donnie Walsh leaves, Melo comes in, and now the Knicks are ruined for another few years - again!. All because Jimmy James Dolan wanted Melo no matter what. This team is the fucking poster child for what happens when the Front Office/Owner can't assess value correctly. D'Antoni is going to be the fall guy and now they are clamoring for Phil Jackson as if he could fix this mess.

maybe they already sold enough melo jerseys, so they are making other players play good so their jerseys get sold. psuedo tanking for the best ROI.

chandler doesn't have this brand recognition, at all, so its hard to compare their contracts. especially because superstar + big market, compared to defensive cornerstone + highest paid team in the league
