MW2: Mercs was one of the earliest games I played in '96, great memories. I hope this is better than 3 and 4. And yes the cinematics were and still are awesome.

I remember yearning so hard to play the third installment of this franchise at my cousin's house. I cleaned his room just for 1 hour of gameplay experience. So yes, this is definitely something I am looking forward to.

Played around with the original boardgame as a kid. Never really got enough people to play with me, but I remember spending hours reading through the lore blurbs on the sides of the manual. It blew my mind to learn that Battletech had grown into the Mechwarrior series.

Can't wait for its release.

I loooove the BattleTech series. I can't wait for this. Considering it's free to play I'm not so sure I should have so many expectations, but I can't help it.

Mechwarrior, or specifically Battletech was something of an eSport before even Starcraft.

I was but a youngblood gamer almost two decades ago and oft went to a place that had the old BattleTech pods. Organized play existed including regional and world championships. It was a far more... subdued game than SC turned into, but it was also more regional. They didn't have an online presence.

Red Planet was the side by side game under the same systems and was likewise quite good, though even more team oriented than Battletech's blast em all.

Seriously, that place had an awesome setup, with live views of games in progress, scoreboards, bar, and post-action reports, record tracking.

I remember playing in some custom battle pod that worked with mech 4 as a kid. I was so scared because it was all moving but it was so fun and it was such an awesome experience. Man I'd love to see competitive scene for Mechwarrior online.

Meanwhile as a young lad I remember my first PC game was MechWarrior 2 and I played the hell out of it, been a fan of the games and the books ever sense. I am looking forward to this game and I am hoping to have a solid Merc company for it ^^
