WoW streamers as of late have been getting a lot more views too and the streamers are funding tournaments for themselves in PvP. Lots of money (not SC2 money lots) being thrown into PvP tournaments atm. And me personally, LoL is the worst game in the world and i wouldn't be caught dead playing it, but that is my opinion like you have yours ![]()

Now the majority of people who play the game are at least in their late thirties, many have kids, many are unemployed and most are illiterate epsilon semi-morons. I don't understand how it turned from a nerdy past-time for the socially weird into a trysting place of Germany's moronic riff-raff... It's so bad, you literally can't read a single "sentence" in /2 without finding hundreds of mistakes. Abbreviations aside, I usually don't even understand the phrases they use. When you have the misfortune to "meet" any of them on voice chat, all the former suspicions are confirmed: you're dealing with absolute and utter idiots, 90% of the time. It's really pathetic and I'm positive it wasn't like this in 2006/2007.

I played WoW for 5 years.I made lots of friends.I met lots of smart and funny people.Compared to other gaming communities WoW is one of the best.If you are bitching about WoW community you better not play any online game like LoL, dota at all.

Then i deleted the char and started again on an English server, where I'm still playing.

In isolation, I don't care about any of these factors. However, when the community gets to the point of illiteracy, at which it's virtually impossible to understand most of the text you read and if you can't talk about any of the numerous cultural and historical references the game makes, then it's just not an enjoyable experience for me. When I played MoP for the first time since 2007, I joined a guild and when I went into voice chat, I heard them talking about how Hemet Nesingwary is such a weird name, making fun of Blizzard's weirdness. None of the ~15 people caught the obvious reference. Pathetic... You may call it elitism, but when an adult, husband and father spends 12 hours a day in front of a computer and still is utterly unintelligible, he's simply not the kind of company I enjoy.

The abysmal language standard on German servers is the same in any game. Join a guild with a 18+ rule or 30+, whatever you prefer. Most people alive in Germany didn't go to school when the spelling was changed, complaining about that will only make you seem considerably more stupid than you claim these people are. Furthermore, there are many people who have a genuine reading disorder, that tells you absolutely nothing about that person, except that they probably didn't go too far in our lovely education system. Personally, I have met a lot of people with whom I would probably never have talked to IRL, who proved to be intriguing and distinct personalities, despite their poor education. It's not about writing "daß" instead of "dass", it's about producing text that is so far removed from any linguistic convention that it's unintelligible, as I pointed out several times now. Nor do the rare cases of dyslexia bother me and if you had even tried to get my point, you knew that I wasn't complaining about kids but people in their thirties and above... You're deliberately misunderstand me to make me out to be some sort of elitist...
