I remember in TBC when everyone said it was fucking terrible compared to vanilla and apparently it's the best expansion now lol. oh well w/e I'll be playing some pandaran and I'll enjoy it ^^. Let's see what BC brought: 2 new races A new profession. A huge amount of raiding content, the richest in both lore and number in WoW history A whole new planet with zones to explore New talents and new abilities Flying mounts So far, the Panda expansion brings...Pandas, which were actually an easter egg, pets fighting each other in Pokemon style, "revamped" dungeons, which are actually copy pasted from Vanilla, not only insulting them but also completely lacking any effort. I've run Scholo for probably close to 50 times to get some items, and that place holds a place in my memories. Way to thrash that with pandas and pokemons running around. WoW has been dying since Patch 3.2. Cataclysm revived it for a little while, but this Pandaland will kill it for the gamers who know what is worth and what is not.

- Chinese aesthetic is a nice change of pace. - Pet Battle System = Pokemon = Hours of fun! - Challenge Mode in Dungeons is a positive. - Monk is just an awesome class in general. Was one of my favs in EQ and if they can make it like that then it should rock (will probably be OP tho lol). The fact of the matter is this expansion will be more polished, detailed and deep than just about any normal MMO on the market (until GW2 prob). People may have burned out on WoW but it still is a solid game and this doesn't look like it's changing that. Rather, it's adding more to an already complex game.

To me it sounds like they're finally genuinely attempting to make all parts of gameplay rewarding to players with large skill disparities. It sounds like they want to reinvigorate world pvp with the alliance vs the horde. And to be honest, a little bit of deviation from BIG BAD DUDE IS GOING TO DESTROY THE WORLD storyline is like a breath of fresh air. They've already done so. They divided raiding between faceroll mode and soul sucking mode with barely any difference in rewards. Sure, heroic modes may still be too easy for the top of the top players but for anybody below that, the difference between heroic and normal is a huge chasm. This new expansion does feel like a joke. New classes in MMOs are problematic as well since they can't just delete old classes and they have to balance another new one. 10 classes already feels like too much.

I love that game and if my day had 48 hours, I'd play that shit 24/7. I tend to play on my brother's account once a year for a month or two to see whats up and from a casual perspective, that game is beyond brilliant. The questlines are entertaining and hilarious, the zones are breathtaking and the combat is very fluent. I can't talk about endgame-content, since I only play one character to the max level in every new expand and it was alway immensely entertaining. How did you guys come to the conclusion that pet-combat should be like Pokémon?

Yeah, its no wonder people dont like wow since they have played it for 100days online time per year. No game is fun if you play it around 8h/day, especially not the casual friendly games.

My point was that the community in wow has always hated on everything, when tbc was there it was terrible, when wotlk was there it was even worse, cataclysm also sucks. They're just never happy. And yeh if you run something 50 times it gets boring but there are actually a lot of people who don't run dungeons 50 times. WoW is fine just play it casually and I bet you'll enjoy it a lot

The game where one used to fight C'Thun and Illidan has turned into a game of pokemons and pandas. What is there not to hate? WoW is fine just play it casually and I bet you'll enjoy it a lot There is no point to play casually for me. I left the game because of that in 2010 February, because I can't really commit that anymore, and frankly there isn't anything left to commit. Dungeons that anyone can gain access to, fights that are same but only different in difficulty, raids that felt as a joke (Does anyone remember the circus we got as a raid?), classes and talent trees that got homogenized to the point of no variance The list goes on. I don't know others but I never hated Burning Crusade. WOTLK, I sure hated that, at least most of it. Catacylsm was better, but still did not meet my expectations. It is still a good expansion, but it does not have what I want.

One that Blizzard will break, of course, but the potential is there at least. I for one am glad they didn't go with yet another IMBA BAD GUY again.

Then another new that im puzzled with; Monks dont have autoattack and use weapons only for finishing moves. This will bring a new battle mechanic to wow, prolly making it feel little like a FPS game or something like "god of war".

One that Blizzard will break, of course, but the potential is there at least. The fact that you can use term "hardcore" implies that you dont play WoW anymore. It takes atmost 2 days to clear everything and be done for the week. I thought worgens were dumb, but this definitely tops it.
