Agree completely. IIRC 1.6 also had something like jump shots with the scout, don't get why they expanded on that to the other weapons at well.

Even if he somehow managed to cheat on the Fragbite Lan Finals with all the people there AND the admins he deserved it anyway :p

We lose/draw almost any match, but I constantly top the scoreboard with over 100 points : D. Only sad thing is, that I got deranked multiple times this evening because of that. Really makes you think about the ranking system in GO. I heard that k/d, points/mvp-stars matter - they dont. I am the proof for that, and I think it should get changed. Winning is a matter of teamwork and even a stack of silver5s can kill you in a 1v5, if they coordinate a little bit. If there is no teamwork, you still can lose. On the good side, I get to bash noobs now, can play like a maniac and still wreck for the most part amd troll the opponents. Am I a bad person for enjoying that? Most useless post of the month. Good night!

That it wasnt a brag post should be clear by stating that I dreanked and now I play against noobs. I just wanted to express my enjoyment of a chaotic noobstack, while thinking about a few flawes of the ranking system... Or where you one of the few guys that got owned by us this night? ![]() EDIT: also, I didnt mean to offend silvers. It just so happens that it is one of the lower ranks, even though they highly differ in skilllevel. Overall the ranking system feels kind of weird. From university, I know a guy who is silver IV but definitly doesnt belongs there.

For example, what I have noticed is that players who are bad players are the ones who will call out hacks and blame other people for mistakes/problems that they haved. I used to have this same issue where I wouldn't realize why what I did was bad and why it was punishable and thus I would call hacks. These are the people that will never quite improve their rank and thus will never get out of whatever they consider to be "elo hell" or "rank hell" (I'm seeing this in Badge land right now cause badge is when people start to play those who actually have a good understanding of the game and will hit a plateau). Once people start to realize that what they are doing is bad and start to improve it, thats when they start to see progress in their game/progress in their skill. Sure, it will take awhile, but if they practice and see where they make mistakes, they'll improve. BUT, the most important thing is that they learn to be humble and admit their mistakes. I'll use myself as an example. I'm learning every day I play, and I suck badly (ask Nagi about the teamkill I mad today on mirage ). But I only get mad at myself for my mistakes, not at other's mistakes because I can only improve myself and see why I failed; I used to get mad at everyone on my team for failures, whether i was affected or not. It's why I'm only a badge, since I have a long way to go and I'm just getting started. Long story short, MM ranks are a good indicator of skill ( barring smurfs and hacks), and there's always room to improve, at every rank and in every game. GL HF, MM2
