My shoots never seem to hit the target.
Learn to either shoot in single shots, burst or control the spray.
and slowly refine your reflexes.

You could load an offline game with "Harmless Bots", or even Easy Bots, because they're still pretty terrible, but one will eventually kill you.
bot_add_ct bot_add_t
Those are the commands you can enter into console to make it so it's like 1v15, then just work on popping heads like balloons, work on spraying down the bots, and practice your movement around the maps: learning to avoid boxes as you round a corner, strafing through the double doors without getting hung up, throwing grenades over walls and through tight spaces.
Bots are the best kind of practice, as they provide moving targets and don't normally 1shot you as they round the corner.

I swear not a single person listens to footsteps...
NOT ONE.
Do people just blast music while playing CS or something? D:

Same here. I put it on my laptop however which is seperate from my speakers so I can still kind of hear footsteps. Long as it's not to my back left since that's the speaker that gets drowned out. Footsteps are just really hard to hear in general.

Installing it this second, as I've played alot of counter-strike 1.6 I don't really think cs:go got the magic to become a great e-sport but that's only from what I've seen, gonna try it out now!
Anyone know if there is a console in game?

Obviously there's a console -.-

You have to manually enable being able to turn it on in the options.

As someone who played 1.6 religiously for years in a row (2003-2008), I can tell you, while it's not 1.6, it's not CS:S either. It's a great middle-ground between the two. It takes getting used to, as it's a different game, but it's very similar and I fucking love it.

How do you remove bots? I want to set up giant 1 vs The World matches to work on my aim but when I start the game it gives to full teams.
Edit: bot_kick 'name' works, but once the round completes, the teams even out again.
What am I doing wrong.. I am pressing play offline with bots and entering random games, but alas!

Casual mode (when Im positive kdr): Speakers on. Music on. Sits back on chair. Serious mode (when Im 50/50ish kdr): Headphones on. Music still on. Sits straight on chair. Try hard mode (when Im negative kdr): Headphones on. Music off. Sits forward on chair. Cellphone off. Locks bedroom door.
True story since 2006.

Yes you can shoot at the feet on train.

Does entering a game cause anyone elses music to go really low? Quite annoying.

Hearing footsteps is how you kill people in CS. Unless everyone is walking anyway.

hmm competitive mode has been much more fun for me, personally. 5v5 is good, friendly fire is good, and it just plays much better imo. Lol also first time somebody attempting to get me kicked today after two scrambles that didn't change much. Was going 17-3 or something, and wasn't even first on my team...
|
The team collision is a bit too ridiculous in cs:go, it's a bit ridic how hard you get hung up by barely clipping a teammate...

Im confused about all the modes you guys talk about.
The quick match "classic competitive" is basically tournament rules right? It seems the same as the 1.6 scrims i used to play at least..
And casual sucks. period. I only play competitive as its more funzies :D
Also wtf is armsrace and demolition, never even touched em lol
