We need new maps. CS has this problem even more than SC2. No more remakes, NEW MAPS!

I played my first "pug" through the CS:GO system. It is a total joke! Two aces ended like 30-3 first half... lol

You realise this is still beta, the matchmaking system hasn't got everyone ranked properly, and the game will have attracted lots of new players who have never played CS before and won't know the maps, spots, tactics or anything yet?

Wait till full release, and join a clan if you want to play actual pugs and games. Matchmaking will always be slightly off.

I will be giving up to two copies of CS:GO retail away on my stream tonight! One will be given away at 9:00pm CST via a random drawing from Twitter. I'm very happy they added a team deathmatch mode with fast respawn, at times my biggest grip about CS was the downtimes.
Either we are alone in the Universe or we are not. Both are equally terrifying.

don't crouch in general. Learn to walk and stutterstep/strafe instead.

this latch patch seems to have killed my GPU - even turning down the graphics and turning vsync on, i get mad video lag.

win7 64x
i5-2500@3.3
16gb ram
nvidia gtx 470

was working fine before the update...grrrrrr

i guess one of the settings disabled itself lol..motion blur enabled fixed it

Ok, I'm a competent CSS player (pubstar/poser) and I am having an easy time with the deagle and scout/awp, but I can't seem to figure out the rifles. How do I need to be shooting different so that the AK and M4 are effective?

you just need to stutter step corners really hard, after the first shot, the spread is super crazy. I suggest teh famas over the m4, more accurate, same damage.

Hold left mouse to the wall and you'll see the bullets patterns.
Then you just need to learn how to concentrate shots in one spot.
Then try to learn how to strafe left, fire 3~4 bullets at the same spot, move right, more 3~4 shot and so on.

Single shotting with the AK is extremely good, while the M4 you can still burst with. I don't know if you ever played 1.6, but the rifle mechanics are pretty similar.

You really can't rely on interp in 1.6/GO as much as you could in Source.

I've found that m4 works best with two shot bursts. Single shotting is still good with the AK

So I guess I know all this, it just feels like the guns do less damage? Maybe I need to read up on some stuff before I gripe. To be honest, my only big complaint is that it is hard to see stuff. And the ts and cts aren't as dramatically different. Maybe I just need to play some more. Thanks for the help!
