Playing a mostly selffound Flameblast Ele Proliferation build right (my own passive tree). Using a 5L Cloak of Flame (by Brother Laz :D) which isn't bad for this build and adds some more survivability. Other option would have been Carcass Jack but I have no evasion at all since I'm using Unwavering Stance. It's mostly for reducing desync and it works even better than I expected, it reduced my desync by a lot. Reflect thankfully is no problem as I found Rise of the Phoenix on my last dead char and with Purity of Fire I have 87% res, which when I don't make a mistake gives me 97% fire res with flasks when hitting reflect mobs (and even 87% is pretty good already). And of course using AA, though only lvl 10.
Don't know how your build looks like but you might be able to go Iron Reflexes if you are going Unwavering and then Carcass would be completly viable. Going for EB/MoM as well and improving your mana pool to run a higher AA might also be an option. Might be a stretch, though, to do all of this but I can see it working in a HC solo Flameblast scenario. Although it depends on your plans for the tree in general.

Well, I think the 20% phys to Fire is already pretty OK-ish. Getting IR would be 11 points, so no, not gonna happen haha. I actually started out as a Witch but decided to go for Unwavering anyway since there are also good Burning nodes + a 1% regen & Fire dmg node there. Also went some into the Mara life nodes as I wanted to avoid going for Scion Life Wheel.

? scion life wheel is so goddamn good

On September 25 2014 04:56 Sn0_Man wrote: ? scion life wheel is so goddamn good Well, I compared both options for my tree and I prefered 1,5% regen and more base life over 10% life from tree (comparing same points used). I won't deny it is really good, but not for my tree imo. I picked it with all earlier chars.

Oh ok. But is it worth it to travel that far just for Unwavering since the Stun nodes in the witch tree have been introduced? Although I know it's a legit anti desync keystone.
On September 25 2014 04:56 Sn0_Man wrote: ? scion life wheel is so goddamn good
If you go anywhere near it, yes. If you have to travel far just for the life wheel then no. You can pick up decent life everywhere in the tree now without it. I don't know why you would want to avoid it when traveling from witch to Unwavering though
Oh and blitzkrieg, I wouldn't say you suck, lol. It's just a lot of RNG involved once you hit maps (because it's much more XP for missions there). If you encounter Elreon a lot more in addition to your daily he will obviously level faster. Elreon has the lowest XP cap for lvl 6 (together with Haku) so if you have been running into a lot of other Master/no Masters then you might as well end up with no level 6 Master until level 85. : /

You actually have to go to scion life wheel to get life if ur a shadow u don't have other choices. Any other bit of life isn't enough all together. Ranger can technically get the duelist life nodes but they suck unless ur a melee build, otherwise ranger has to get life wheel as well.
|
Whelp, can't disagree right now. Didn't try to theorycraft a shadow build that doesn't go by the life wheel anyways yet.

I do not question my decision to take Unwavering Stance. Personally I have really bad experience with Flameblast and desync. While leveling it happened so often that I thought I hit monsters, but in reality they aren't even close. It helped me a lot for sure. Also the fire cluster there is pretty good since I love regen and am specialized in burning.
Also I agree Ranger and Shadow need Scion Life wheel (unless Melee Ranger), which all my former chars happened to be so I always picked them. There aren't enough Life nodes else, I think without it my Ranger and Shadow builds ended up with like 130%ish increased life.

The problem is the efficiency of those nodes. once you are near it 5% per node is just unbeatable. Even Thickskin is worse if you don't come from ranger or go to ranger cause the 1 dex point make's it 5% per node too. so yea.. scion wheel opieOP again.

I get serious fps drops in the Warehouses map in Act III, is this normal? Rest of the game runs smoothly for me, unless there is a lot of shit going on

1) Is there a website that can tell me how much ES regen and life regen% I need when having X% fire resist to sustain RF? 2) Can I really change the sockets on a corrupted item? I.e. my item is a 4S, already corrupted, I wanna 6L it. By my calculations I'd save 10+ ex if I took that item, went to Vorici and simply used the 350 jew and 1500 fus service. Same for the chrom service.
Is it really that easy, assuming the item level is sufficient?
Edit: Ah shit, needs the same amount of vaal orbs also.

I think I need a new char. Either that or someone has to gift me 5k chromes or something to get at least 4 green sockets on my 5l armour chest. T.T I can't do time limited Zana quests with this clear speed, as fun as the build is on his own. : /

Would always be the same problem because I need a chest with armour. My build is far away from any evasion nodes/dodge/other mitigation to play an evasion build on HC.

I mean you can buy a hybrid with plenty of armour usually
but if you can't find one then that's unfortunate for sure

I think I got that with my old GPU. I hated that area so much becouse of that. But now I don't have such problems.

Unfortunately there is only one good hybrid chest with decent armour but it's 6L and out of my price range atm. There are two other mediocre ones (both armor and stats) and that's about it. : / Guess I will play my marauder to maps soon and give him the 5l since he needs all red socks anyways.

How much do you actually have invested into armor nodes? You probably can't even tell the difference using an EV piece instead unless you've invested heavily into armor nodes.
