Unless you have literally hundreds of exalts available to you, low life is more expensive. Period. Considering the original question for discussion was about the "poor mans option" its pretty obvious that CI is that.
Stop making dumb arguments like "well I have a legacy shavs so CI is more expensive" jesus.
I actually have an interesting question though. Is it cheaper to craft or to mirror a "perfect" (more or less) chest? I think it might be cheaper to just craft your own on standard unless you need chaos res.

Having a legacy shav's would make low-life more expensive actually... and I'm mostly on ambush anyways (which notably only has new Shav's, I probably shouldn't have mentioned standard/ legacy at all). I'm betting the price of Shav's will drop pretty dramatically on Ambush because of the unique strongboxes that drop items from Shavronne's set (which includes revelation, pace, whatever). A good chest is not hundreds of exalts, though what I'm looking for costs more than a Shav's right now.
A BiS mirrored item might cost you around 180-200 ex ( mirrors are 150-160 ex, + fee + chroms and other stuff). Not really worth it unless you already have a mirror lying around and really want something, because most people who own the BiS items are RMT abusers, and it's not worth trying to get to that level of wealth conventionally. Probably better to craft something that's about 80% as good for much cheaper that you can reroll socket colors with and use in more than one build.
A lot of people also sell mirrored items that they don't use anymore for significantly cheaper.

Noob question but what's special about mirrored items? I can't seem to find anything on it apart from the fact that it's acopy of the item you use the mirror on.

Well, the point would be "I want the ABSOLUTE PERFECT chest but of course that guy isn't gonna sell his ABSOLUTELY PERFECT chest since he's using it. So I can Mirror it for a fee and then we both have his ABSOLUTELY PERFECT chest and everybody is happy.
Because you can craft items in this game with currency, it gives people the motivation to craft perfect items (since they are not only perfect for use, but also perfect for mirror service AKA a way to generate revenue from this item that you made.
Of course, in order to keep super-good items rare etc mirrors are extremely uncommon (aka one drops every few days across all servers o.o)

Is there an easier way to trade in my chaos for exalts than just waiting for someone to take up my offer in trade chat?

As long as your offer isn't greedy it shouldn't be difficult that way.

Zoroxo so mean, playing scion in races and stuff, makes it real hard for us subpar players to win Demis.

Is Scion still stupid broken in races?

Not at all recently I think.

Honestly I think we are the closest to true class "balance" in a long time, but there isn't a lot of diversity in play styles which might explain why. Duelist and Marauder play very similarly (Leap Slam), Scion and Ranger play very similarly (ST), and Templar/Witch/Shadow play similarly in longer races (Ice Nova/FP into Storm Call into Flameblast; Shadow is the fastest for extremely short races like bursts, but Witch/Templar are pretty much equal, I just like the Witch's tree more.)

Well, there are some good racers like Uber that pick Searing Bond with Templar (and he holds the Templar record for the current sig right now with that). And tag tried ground slam instead of leap slam as main ability and it worked out for him (demi+third marauder in sig overall ranking with his first try). I personally think that most people are too fixed on the meta and don't look left and right (in fact that is the case in a lot of games). That being said, I agree with the overall statement that class balance is kinda good and variety kinda bad.

Well, I killed Uber Atziri,
I am a bad person for taking advantage of the glitch that made her do less damage. But at least I have the OP leech gloves. Now all I need is to get the new 1h lightning sword, pair it with my Mjolner for a crit build and literally be Thor.

For a few hours after the update, Atziri's damage was nerfed really badly-- fully charged fireblast was doing under 1000 damage. It's fixed now though. On the other hand, the guardians still wrecked me pretty bad.

Were you the guy from helmans chat? :D If so, I was actually just trolling. But hillock dropped me a 2hand mace, which seems to happen pretty often whenever I plan to mule, so I just said fuck it, and went with the scion. Last time I muled spectral to a ranged in a sig race, hillock actually dropped me a rare stone axe, but the ranger/shadow unlike the scion doesn't have enough strength to use it at the start, which was a bit frustrating. Because if you are going to set a record at this time, you kind of need close to a perfect run, or insane mob luck in docks.
On May 01 2014 10:31 ticklishmusic wrote: Is Scion still stupid broken in races?
Far from it. I'd say everything a scion can do, another class can do equal, or slightly better. Think spectral throw as a shadow is the only one that's significantly worse. But shadows kind of just was a shit class to begin with.

Does no one play BLAMT races? Got 77 overall on the EL BLAMT today, and I started around 30 minutes in, and it was my first race.

2828 characters; 2403 killed at least one enemy; 1060 reached level 2.
It's all about the difficulty of the mode rather than people playing. I guess comparing characters created to other events is a bad metric though because almost everyone makes more than one character ^_^

I'm objectively a bad racer, so I shouldn't have placed so high relative to everyone else regardless of the difficulty.

Because four times more characters were created for that race than more typical races. Now it is also logical that most people who played this race made several characters (which is why I said it is a bad metric), but I'd still confidently say that lack of participation isn't the reason you placed well.
