Last season rewards introduction was hell of a hype. League only Unique at 80, that sexy Andvarius, Meginord is solid and omg Ming's Heart not even at 1000 wahhh. Looking at season it's meh meh and meh =/. The Thief's Torments is also rly not appeal to me that much, maybe if I make a cycloner or SA ranger, but then the stats itself is kinda sucks regardless =/ Also anyone has the Blackgleam and Prismatic Eclipse item display screw up in the race season page ? | ||

Does anyone wanna make a serious team for racing this season in party races? Like practicing, designated roles, good communication and planning, etc? Personally I need to practice flameblast as witch, or switch to shadow. (flameblast is > storm call now, but it's still the best strat for Shadow afaik. Also for any race that progresses to Cruel, I think all the caster classes will add on Searing Bond.) Edit: Btw, I forgot the name of who borrowed it in the guild, but I need my IIQ gem back whenever you get a chance. | ||

When points aren't the main consideration, I've actually had more memorable races in the team format. I need to take a look at the race calendar before committing to anything, but I like the idea of doing team races with a well-organized group. Maybe we can start talking roles once we see how much interest there is. | ||

Im trying to make a tree for racing as Shadow with Storm Call, but asides from the first 10 nodes or so, the Shadow tree seems pretty terrible for SC. Progression for shadow SC tree: Level 12 + Show Spoiler + http://www.pathofexile.com/passive-skill-tree/AAAAAgYBE54mlVVLfjOMNqSRtDjVT9535Rn79Q== Theres just stat nodes to the north, crit to the east, and useless nodes to the south. (Crit nodes add less than 1 dps per node because its impossible to stack enough crit to make it worth it in a race.) Not sure where the most optimal place to go after here is. As far as gem rewards go, I only need my Hillock, Mud Flats, and Brutus in normal, and Cruel Hillock, Cruel Hailrake, So if anyone needs some gems from Shadow from any of the other quests just ask. | ||

Aw, that's really tempting, I do have time and could do most team races (unless late night hours for EU), but only for up to 2/3 weeks from now, after that I'm off the computer for a while. I don't know much about races (done a couple and one in party with you actually, you're in my friend list) but can catch up quickly and I'm ready to be serious about it. | ||

Race builds want juuuust a few life nodes to keep them alive and then as many damage nodes as possible to push the clear speed up. Races are all about pushing the limits of how fast you can gain XP (aka kill mobs). | ||

Conduit is useful, but im not sure its worth it in a race, Cleave is bad, also how would you be generating frenzy charges? As Scion I feel like your options are either Leap Slam +DS, ST+DS (Maybe not after the nerf?), or maaaybe flameblast but I doubt it. Heres a decent scion tree for Leap Slam + Double Strike, if you go ST you would take the projectile nodes instead of the res nodes at the start and not take the upper part of the scion wheel. how would you be generating frenzy charges? With frenzy, maybe blood rage too in cruel. Conduit costs only 3 points, which means trading a slightly slower kill speed for me for a notable increase to everyone else's. Seems like a good trade but I don't know, that marauder tree is a beauty of damage efficiency :D Anyway, leap slam is a more fun alternative to cleave, so I am all up for that. | ||

If you were really good about it, I suppose you could manually cast enduring cry to keep up charges for everyone which would be nice, but I dont think frenzy would be worth it, maybe blood rage would be decent though. Maybe you just take enduring cry as a reward and use it for yourself, but dont spec into Conduit until mid 30s I guess? Not sure | ||
