Yeah, just killed Atziri with it on Talisman SC at lvl 80 (died twice because of no flasks and not wanting to waste any tps as an Atziri noob, was my 2nd kill overall). The damage is pretty sick and it not requiring any mana is also great. It's also quite good for farming with Carcass Jack and some AoE nodes, but I wouldn't say it's very fun because ranged monsters that run away are quite annoying.

oh wow RF totem is legit now? i remember trying it back during the expansion beta and lack of AOE and ranged monsters constantly moving away is whats annoying. not to mention the dmg from each totem does not stack.

I got a tabula rasa and i m experimenting with my flame totem.I got fire penetration, iron will, faster casting, added chaos damage and controlled distraction.When i m switching controlled distraction with faster projectiles i m losing 3k dps, in almost every video and forum faster projectiles is a must, everybody has it, so why this happens my faster projectile gem is quality 20 and only 2 levels behind.

because FP doesn't add spell dmg? you use FP for the longer range.

I prefered faster projectiles when I was using flame totems. It makes the range of your totems quite a bit longer. I believe I had around 25k dps with faster projectiles, and that was more than enough for the tier 10-13 maps I was running. More damage isn't always equal to more clearspeed, especially if your damage is already good.

think about it this way. you lose 3k dps from switching out FP. But perhaps that longer range from FP means mobs spend an extra 1s in your flames as they are walking towards the totems? EHP of totems increase from FP indirectly this way.

i'm sure somewhere in the poe forums, the math has been worked out already. there's probably a good reason why people are sticking to FP instead of gems that add hard dps.

Yea you are both right probably the math's already done.But my next goal is to kill atziri and to change the colors in my infernal mantle again is pain in the ass.I think i m better without FP for this goal.I got 17k dps per totem, 1k ES and 5k life is my dps good for atziri kill?

I'm currently trying to figure out why a "100% chance to ignite plus you can stack as many ignites as you want plus these ignites have 100% increased burning damage nodes on the tree" gem was OK.

The numbers on emberwake indicate that GGG did understand that this isn't a safe mechanic...

Ignite deals 80% of the initial hit over time, with poison dealing 20%, and the two mechanics have very different options available for scaling them. Your comparison doesn't seem fair, even if Poison is OP.
