Red cards against barça? For what, being good at football? I actually think you were trolling the whole time now. Btw Barça B got a few weeks ago the trophy to fair play for the second time in a row. Also, Barça has been consistently the team with less fouls in la Liga since Guardiola arrived. If you recall Keita should've gotten two yellow cards in that game and mascherano at least one along with puyol. @Rebs i'm Valencia fan since '97, and i'm not hurt about Valencia being or not being in CL, i'm just saddened that team who plays such a good football can act so shameful sometimes. Glad you managed the see the sarcasm in my post about passing. Besides, if you're one of the top 2-3 teams in the world, isn't it expected a bit that you can adapt to game and pitch conditions? I was just trolling back. Dont get so defensive. And yes if you had actually bothered to read some of the thread rather than hop in you would know that it is well accepted even here that it is not an excuse. You should be able to adapt to all conditions absolutely and Barca themselves will tell you that, Guardiola is on record for a similar statement. . That doesnt excuse the conditions themselves. A high standard of pitch is expected in champions league football, it was not provided. End of discussion.Everybody acts shamefully. It just seems to be the case that the best ones get accused of it because some different set of puritan standards are applied to them. This arguement is circular and has been made many times already and refuted quite reasonably as well, cba to dig up posts to explain it over and over. (edit: although it appears Drone decided to do it anyway, to some extent.) Feel free to believe what you will. Tired of every few months a smartass hops in the thread and repeats the same stupid discussed to death arguement over and over again. Didn't a couple delegates from Uefa and the referees picked by Uefa deem the pitch to be fine for the match ? I never really understood how they could lodge the compliment if representatives of Uefa said it was ok to play on. Yea they did didnt they, UEFA also have assistant judges standing by the touchline behind goals that dont do anything. Whats your point ? That players just decided to slip and slide erratically because they wanted an excuse. The duvets falling out as if every patch of grass had terrible golf players swinging all over the pitch was clearly an indiciation that the players were digging theyre feet to hard, they should learn to play football as if they were skating. Anyway I dont see why this discussion is even worth making. It was clear the pitch was substandard and shouldnt have been green lit. Clearly the bureaucracy thought otherwise. Nitpicking stupid things is an unreasonable arguement. The pitch was fine because it wasn't dangerous. The only thing it wasn't fine for is passing football - but you have to adapt to your surroundings, that's part of football. Soon people will be arguing that we shouldn't play when it is raining (pitch is too waterlogged for passing football qq) or something equally ludicrous. Barca didn't win and looked for excuses - they were like the kid on ladder who BMs you because you all-inned them when they were being greedy.
A water logged pitch when its raining is outside your control. A pitch prepared in a manner where duvets are flying out and players are slipping all over the place despite being layed out a few days before is a different matter, that is very much in your control.
Please that is a terrible analogy. And again its absolutely dangerous when something within your control is not fixed and players are slipping its very very dangerous. A twist here or there and game over. The issue is not that it was a bad pitch. Its that its a bad pitch for no good reason.
If there is a good reason why the pitch is like that then all MIlan has to do is come out and say well yea we had so and so problem sorry. Saying it was perfectly fine given the evidence is just flat out lying.

Against Inter, Milito offside goal, Bojan wrongly disallowed goal. And a lot of game changing decisions , Abidal red card in Stanford Bridge for Anelka tripping himself, vs Arsenal wrongly disallowed goal by Messi, red card appeal for Song, penalty by Djorou on Messi, etc. Its pretty obvious that the team that loses will complain and the winning team noramlly will ignore all the decisions against them because they are irrelevant.

Stop this pointless discussion already. Barca was better, and those two penalties were correct. And no, I'm definitely not a Barcalona fan. On the contrary, I strongly dislike them, and I wanted Milan to advance but you can't deny the fact that they deserved to win in the end.

Typical anti-Barca rhetoric, not much of it is grounded in reality, just pure bias. probably, i'm not denying that. i'm trying to point out that considering the ref criteria keita should've got red card. nad if you're going by that criteria second penalty could've been awarded to barca, but it also didn't had to be. and about your anti-barca rhetoric, here, read this READ ME!!! i'm not claiming that barca didn't deserved to pass, but the manner in which she passed is sad. and about that second penalty hurr a little excerpt: "We didn't complain on penalties on the first leg." Now if my memory serves me correct, they did make a fuss about those penalties... And about the second penalty last night; ok, if it's in the rule book award the penalty (when the ball is in play), but than also award milan penalty for foul on ibra and stick by your refereeing standard you set.

Yea were using Goal.com as a source now. Please anymore TMZ and theyll be talking about Paris Hiltons latest escapade. What fuss did they make aside from saying that well, "we shouldve gotten penalties". Who doesnt say that ?
Everyone likes consistency. It didnt happen. This is all a conspiracy so that Barca can dominate. Etc etc. Ok we get it. Thanks get over it. And were taking Ibrahimovic's word for things to now apparantly. Not like he has any reason to be upset and talk smack. Sighface..
